What a great read! The suspenseful plot and compelling characters pulled me along for a deeply entertaining reading experience. Ms. Snider really hit the nail on the head with her understanding of what it’s like when decent people find themselves thrust into a fight for survival against a destructive psychopath. I loved getting to know characters I could identify with, as they are faced with impossibly scary situations. It reminds us that even though we may be loving and caring in our daily personalities, we all have the ability to source our deep-seated survival instincts in order to save ourselves. The characters in this book needed every bit of that instinct to save themselves. (You can’t always look to the police when someone is truly out to get you.) What I also found satisfying was that in addition to being a first-class crime thriller, the relationship subplot grounded it and made the outcome count. It showed how good, wounded people can begin to re-engage in life when their paths cross with the right person.

Twins and rescue dogs..what’s not to love
By Bel
They say twins share a special bond and can sense when the other is hurt, AJ feels that something is wrong with his twin Jessie, so when he goes to check up on him and finds him missing, he is shocked to find a woman collapsed on his brother’s doorstep. He comes to the conclusion that Rina is Jessie’s girlfriend. Even though he has developed feelings for her, he does not want to move in on his brother’s girl. Someone appears to be hell-bent on destroying Rina’s dog rescue shelter, so when AJ helps out, they bond over trying to work out who the culprit is. The cliffhanger at the end was definitely not expected, but can’t wait to read the next one if it will be Jessie’s story. I received this book from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.

It was supposed to be a vacation, a time to save her marriage, but what Joan Clayton hadn’t counted on was Murphy’s Law of Vail Mountain and the secrets that had damaged her marriage beyond repair. It was over. Depressed and angry, she decided to venture directly into an oncoming snowstorm, one that would be known as the blizzard of the century.
Stephen Brockheart received the call concerning a missing tourist after working 26 hours straight. A park ranger for the mountain resort, he set out on the routine mission, knowing he was running out of time as the blizzard hit with visibility zero. What he hadn’t counted on was saving a beautiful woman and falling for her, a city girl who knew nothing about the dangers of the mountain. He had been there before and vowed never to return.
As Mother Nature raged, Joan was soon overcome by the feelings a complete stranger evoked in her, causing her to reevaluate her own life. Through the blizzard and stranded at the resort, death was imminent for any who would try to leave. Despite loss and secrets, can two people find love and happiness again?
Can they be given a second chance to make it real and lasting, or will that chance die with them?

Light the fire, grab the cocoa, and get ready for a great read!
Stranded on Vail Mountain is a well-written, gripping, fast-paced novella. I love short reads, especially those which grab the reader by the seat of the pants from the first line to the last – this one delivers! I’ve read this story twice and will read it again. This was my first read of this author’s works. I look forward to reading much more from her. I don’t write reviews often, but some stories are too good not to share.

Set in the biggest city in Alaska, this dark urban fantasy takes Sam on a perilous trip through money laundering, election fixing and betting on the fix. What he doesn’t expect are the relics and a portal to another world. This tale of crime in the north is a non-stop action page turner.

I found it hard to put this book down! The author does an excellent job setting up the characters making it easy for the reader to get to know them even if they did not read previous books. I loved that the story took place in Virginia Beach with references to many of the local places I like to frequent. I have read the other two suspense books by this author, Too Later To Run and Donation Man. I can hardly wait for the next one!
This book totally captured my heart. From page one, reading what a monster RT Janeway was to Deidre and Sylvie made my blood boil. He got just what he deserved and I cheered Dee every step of the way. This book teaches us survival, triumph and redemption. Dee and Sylvie were left to make the most of the crappy hand of life they were dealt. Sworn never to trust a man again, Daniel re-enters the picture. After four long years away, he returns only to find out his father is dead. He walks into a land mine and the truth is revealed. He is left to pick up the pieces and help Dee and Sylvie along with the little illegitimate child of Dee and RT’s – Rachel. Can this dysfunctional family regroup and learn to trust and love again? Is everything too far gone? Is happiness unattainable? Can Dee ever in her life enjoy the touch of a man again? Deep within the pages of this superbly written book, you’ll be come so invested in the characters that you’ll feel sad upon reading the last page…you want this book to continue! I give FIVE well-earned stars to this incredible book. I thank the author for giving us this story so tastefully and well written. An insightful informative look into the world of sexual dysfunction some families are faced with. You will not regret one page of this book……LOVED IT!
Thought I’d read this because I know the author…had no idea that my day would become completely unproductive as I could not put the book down! Really good, will have to take a few days to process, can’t wait for the other sinister vision!
Beautifully written. More intense than A Sinister Bouquet. A book you can’t put down. Facing your nightmares in print…while you find love and life advice.
