It’s 2052 and Earth has lost two-thirds of its population to the Great War. Many more lives were lost to earthquakes, the Clover Virus, and the Death Plague. Years later, survivors were clumped into factions. Two of the factions, the Guild and the Brotherhood, have fought over medical supplies and food for years. The fight is coming to a head as manpower dwindles, and the struggle becomes one to gain numbers, even if said numbers are children…
Griffin Storm is hiding out in Underground Atlanta. He’s an albino man that can manipulate glass and crystal, and he uses his special abilities to raid warehouses and old buildings for food and supplies for the abandoned children that live underground. During a raid, he meets Tassta Vinetti, a resident of the Brotherhood fortress. He is taken to the fortress and chaos ensues as Tassta, her twin brother Penn, and her uncle, try to keep their new visitor and his untold powers a secret.
Griffin is the only survivor of the Guild’s deadly experiments, and they hunt for him because his survival will have dynamic consequences on the world. The Guild believes that Griffin will transform into a G.O.D., a genetically enhanced Omni-dimensional being with limitless abilities.
Will Griffin transform into a G.O.D.? Will he save the children of the Underground from their tragic life? Only time will tell…

Awesome
By Ana Maz_Gonz
When I read a book that can transport me to another world, time and place I am grateful. I am amazed by authors such as Mrs. Campbell who’s imaginations inspire such vivid stories. In a post-apocalyptic Atlanta an unlikely hero emerges, and though faced with a truly uncertain future, friendships are forged, love springs and hope binds it all together.
Wildly entertaining, incredibly original and simply captivating. 👏

I’m Capt. Eve Stone and I’m a cyborg. I woke up in a top-secret lab with no memory of my past, except that I was once human. I’m pleasantly surprised how good this was
By TJOl
I’m pleasantly surprised how good this was

Eve of Destruction wasn’t my usual genre that I read, but I have to say I was surprised how good this book was. I’ve already purchased the next book in anticipation that I’ll love it as well.

Katica was raised as an Army/ brat, and now after a bad relationship, she’s entered Air Force boot camp. You’ll be given an inside view of how boot camp is but when her TI (Training Instructor) approaches her on a night out with friends Wyatt will tell her of his feeling about her even though she knows it against the rules.

What follows is a sweet love story between them until she arrives at her new base and she’s assaulted in Okinawa by her CO which leads to the loss of their baby. But when there’s an explosion at work that causes her severe injuries. But when she wakes up as a cyborg in a lab with no memories of her past life that will take some major adjustment from being more machine than human. She’ll have to adjust quickly with the help of Dr. Marda who’ll turn her into a lean, mean fighting cyborg soldier that some in her unit are uncomfortable with. When the doctor gives her a chip with her information that hopefully let her find Wyatt again.

I can’t wait to read the next book with more information on if they can both find each other again.

CAPTAIN EVE STONE, UNITED STATES AIR FORCE SPECIAL OPERATIONS JTAC
I am an American soldier, serving the people of the United States of America. I am a warrior. I am trained and disciplined mentally and physically. I am an expert and a professional. I stand ready to deploy, engage, and to destroy the enemy. I will never accept defeat. And that is why after nearly twenty years of serving my country and having my identity, my memory, my life, and my one true love stolen from me, I will fight with everything in me to get him back, to remember who I really am.
Almost twenty years have gone by since I was injured in an accident while serving in the United States Air Force. My family, friends, and fiancé were informed I had died. I lost everything. Until now.
It was a chance encounter. While on a top-secret mission behind enemy lines in Iraq, he found me, the only man I’ve ever loved, SSgt Wyatt Powell. But I don’t remember him. You see, I’m a cyborg now. My human side is at war with my machine side because my human side remembers. I have a new identity and a new mission. I will get my life back, and I will make Wyatt fall in love with me again. And I will seek and destroy those who did this to me. I am Captain Eve Stone, and I am a Soldier of Destruction.
SSGT WYATT POWELL, MERCENARY SOLDIER OF KNIGHTS INC.
I can’t believe it’s her. When she died, it nearly destroyed me. Now I’m facing the fact that she’s been alive all this time, but she’s changed. She’s a cyborg with a new identity, and I’m not the same man she fell in love with. I’ve seen and done things that I cannot undo.
I have memories of how we used to be, of the all-consuming love we once shared, back before I had traversed the depths of hell. Before I lost my soul and willingly became a cyborg soldier for Knights Inc., a private mercenary army for hire, fighting for and protecting important assets of the United States. We do the dirty work no one else will, behind enemy lines in the most dangerous parts of the world, and on American soil. We go where even the bravest of the brave would not dare to go.
We have a new mission: find others like Captain Eve Stone and stop whoever is stealing the lives of American soldiers and turning them into cyborgs against their will. This I will do. I will hunt down those bastards and make them pay. I owe her this, even though I’ve reached the point of no return. I owe her my help in getting her life back, even if I no longer belong in it.
I can’t go back to the way we were, and I don’t know how to go forward, or if I even want to. She would hate the man I’ve become. I’m no longer worthy of her. I am the Dragon, a Knight of Destruction.

Action Packed Sequel
By Kiera Jayne
In the first Soldiers of Destruction book, we received an in-depth character study of Katica’s past with Wyatt Powell, the love of her life and the things that lead up to her becoming Eve Stone, a cyborg super soldier. In this, Knights of Destruction, we move into the present day. This installment is much more action-packed than the first, which focused more on the love story between the leaves. While it is still prevalent here, the major part of the novel explores Katica/Eve’s powers, for want of a better word.

The different sides of Eve/Katica come into play, and I love seeing these different sides of two very different characters in one body, it’s very much a spilled personality thing happening here.

Wyatt Powell is stoic and powerful— an incredible character in himself.

This is an outstanding series, and I look forward to the next installment.

I loved this story so much! However, it ended way too soon, I wanted to see them reunite and help the people (Indians). Why couldn’t you have made it longer? Authors do this quite often, and it saddens me. But I will read this story over again often, you can count on that. Any who read this wonderful story needs first to read the first book in the Wilderness series. If you don’t, you will miss so very much that will help you understand book 2. Enjoy reading both as I have.

November 12, 2052: Earth has lost two-thirds of its population to the Great War. Many more lives have been lost to earthquakes, the Clover Virus, and the Death Plague. Years later, survivors are clumped into factions. Two of those factions—the Brotherhood and the Guild Faction—have battled over medical supplies and food for years. The fight is coming to a head as manpower dwindles, and the struggle becomes one to gain numbers, even if said numbers are children…

Griffin Storm, an albino man kidnapped and dragged into the Brotherhood, has transformed into a G.O.D., a Genetically enhanced Omni-dimensional being. Two weeks in the brig, and Griffin’s released after it’s determined that he’s learned to control most of his god-like abilities. His abilities have grown almost as much as his love for Tassta Vinetti and his unfortunate bloodlust. His bond with Tassta’s twin brother, Penn, has grown as well and is cemented in secrets.

Soon after his release, Griffin’s told that Guild agents and the notorious Trips (super-agents of the Guild) are in the Underground. He must now test his abilities to save the abandoned children that live there. Will Griffin rescue the children of the Underground from a tragic end? Will Tassta and Griffin’s love survive such turmoil? Can a G.O.D. forgive himself when death and destruction follow his every move? Read Blood Phase, the gripping second book in the G.O.D.s Series!

And I wasn’t disappointed! Griffin
By The Minter

I had read Blood Master previously and became enthralled with Griffin Storm’s character (for my review of Blood Master, click here). When I heard that Ms. Campbell was publishing the sequel, Blood Phase, I couldn’t wait to dig in. And I wasn’t disappointed!

Griffin, having earned the trust of Fortress authorities, is set to be released from The Brig, much to the delight of Tassta, his sweetheart. Although Griffin still has a lot to learn about balancing his newfound abilities against his inherent humanity, overall he does well and has enough control over his abilities to prevent caving into his inner desires. As his and Tassta’s romance heats up, Griffin gets the horrifying news that the Guild Faction, specifically the Trips, have invaded Underground, and are holding the remaining children, Waylene, and Skylar hostage. The chain of events that follows may be too much for even a G.O.D. to take in, and all his training to control his potentially destructive powers may be undone. The only tempering force is his love for Tassta, her family, the children, and his friends in the Underground. Readers will be taken on a real emotional roller coaster as Griffin battles both the Guild Faction and the two halves of himself, at the same time. Again, I am truly in awe at Ms. Campbell’s character-developing abilities.

Absolutely loved it and cannot wait for the sequel. Well done again, Ms. Campbell.

Genre. It is possibly because I love the dialogue in novels more than deep descriptions and also probably due to the fact I’ve not read book 1. It looks like I will now have to go buy book one to get my head around all the characters correctly.

Overall I have enjoyed the story. The author writes a great novel.

A timeless, poignant story that is poetic and beautiful as well as thrilling!
By Book Reviewer
Across the Wilderness is a timeless, poignant story that is poetic and beautiful as well as thrilling. It is a novel that captured my attention from the very beginning and hooked it until the very end. If you are a reader who is looking to read a brilliant, entertaining story that makes for an easy read, then you will love Across the Wilderness!

Across the Wilderness is a unique novel with a fascinating, intriguing plot that is unlike anything I have read before. The novel follows the story’s protagonist, Dr. Karen Anderson. Anderson is currently in the process of re-decorating, and with her ventures of doing so, she came across and purchased an antique and beautiful bed at an estate sale. However, this bed is no ordinary bed as it serves as a portal for time traveling when you go to sleep. At this point when I was reading this novel, all I could think was “Now we have a story!” This to me is brilliant and very imaginative, so already I was enthralled by the novels premise.

When Anderson falls asleep on this bed one night, she time travels to a different period, to 1880. Anderson has been taken to the middle of the Lakota country. She has arrived at a time when the relationship between the Lakota people and the neighboring tribes is poor, and this will end up complicating matters for Anderson. At this point in my review, I am going to stop discussing the plot of the novel as what happens next is deliciously great! So you will have to read this brilliant book to find out what happens next!

The story of Across the Wilderness is an intriguing one that takes the reader on a timeless journey across the decades to an interesting and pivotal moment in history. I adored how this novel featured heavily on Native Americans and most importantly, how badly mistreated they were; the author has clearly researched the subject and has done a brilliant job of shining light on everything that happened. What is better is that she does this in an entertaining, interesting way and that for me was really incredible to read.

The author of the novel Pamela Ackerson has done a superb job at writing a timeless, classic tale. One thing was apparent to me very early on, and this was that she manages to capture the reader’s attention effortlessly and whisk them away on an enthralling, exciting journey. I mean, how incredible are the novels premise alone?! This, combined with beautiful literature that is moving and entertaining makes it an incredible read. This novel really did get my imagination going, and in the very beginning, all I could think was how incredible it would be if you could fall asleep in your bed and wake up in a different time period! I am curious, what would you do? If you could fall asleep in a bed and be taken to a different time altogether, where would you want to go? What would you want to see? It is a great idea so, please let me know your answers below!

To summarise my thoughts on Across the Wilderness I would say if you love adventure novels that are mixed with romance and timeless history then you will adore this magnificent book. This incredible novel gets Five Stars from me!

The Keeper of the MemoriesBishop gives us the story of the tribe and its Memory Keeper. The Old Mother must soon pass from the world, and she chooses Mondoani to take her place. She must care for her people in their harsh land. The tribe and its land is painted with care, and their story is crafted with care. The people live lives that to us are exotic, and their traditions and way of life are alien. The reader sees a life that entices him into a new world and time. Well done!
