I just can’t recommend this series enough especially if you enjoy clean romance, time travel, and strong female characters!

All I can say is WOW–what an epic story this one is!! I have read a couple of other Time After Time novels by Carol Ann Kauffman and truly loved them all–I am waiting to get to read the rest of this series. I read somewhere that this one is chronologically the first–and I kind of agree. There is no doubt in my mind that these are all stand alone and I am living proof that they can be read in any order!!

These two just can’t seem to get it together–even though they are soul mates-until the very very end–and even then there is a zinger.

I just can’t recommend this series enough especially if you enjoy clean romance, time travel and strong female characters!

Hooked!!!

After hearing about this series, I knew I had to read it. I’m hooked!! The story is very relatable, the characters could be your neighbors. And with how the world is going, you know this is happening. Bailey and her young brothers’ lives are turned upside down, after the death of their parents. The only person willing to keep them, an uncle they never see. Soon they find out why. He is a doomsdayer. The only problem, he doesn’t seem to want Bailey, only her brothers.

Action Packed Sequel

In the first Soldiers of Destruction book, we received an in-depth character study of Katica’s past with Wyatt Powell, the love of her life and the things that lead up to her becoming Eve Stone, a cyborg super soldier. In this, Knights of Destruction, we move into the present day. This installment is much more action-packed than the first, which focused more on the love story between the leafs. While it is still prevalent here, the major part of the novel explores Katica/Eve’s powers, for want of a better word.
The different sides of Eve/Katica come into play, and I love seeing these different sides of two very different characters in one body, it’s very much a spilled personality thing happening here.
Wyatt Powell is stoic and powerful— an incredible character in himself.
This is an outstanding series, and I look forward to the next installment.

Fantastic twist on Cinderella

This is not the Cinderella Disney told us about. You have a charming (ha) prince, whose primary concern is the future of his people. You have a beautiful, mysterious girl whose primary concern is to assassinate the prince. There are no distressed damsels in Charming, only kickass lady assassins, complicated political drama, and a prince who wants what’s best for his people and the future of his kingdom. Charming is a wonderful beginning to the (very) complicated love story of Eli and Kit, with a fantastic world and engaging characters. Highly recommend!

Another wild ride from Samantha Jacobey

Almost seventeen Bailey learns that her parents have died in a car crash on their wedding anniversary. If that’s not bad enough, she and her young twin brothers are put in the care of an absent uncle with some baggage. The next thing she knows she is taken to a small city in the middle of TEXAS! (As a Yankee that alone would be enough to make me slit my wrists. 😉
They settle in for a few months and then the reality of her new life changes again. Bailey is a privileged self-proclaimed good girl but acts out hoping to return to her home. She is smart and intuitive, but nothing in her life has prepared her for what’s coming. Without giving away the whole book suffice it to say she needs all her social skills to survive and that may not be enough. She needs to get tough and fast.
I’ve read several of Ms. Jacobey’s books, and again she makes you care about the characters and has a well-developed plot line. Reading this book was like eating peanuts, and it went by too fast. Will Bailey figure out how to survive? What will happen to her brothers? Can she learn to be bad enough to make it through the ordeal? Do she and Caleb fall into each other’s arms? This book does not answer those questions, but it does set the reader up for the next two books in the series coming out this summer. Myself I cannot wait to see how this plays out. Buy the book and take the ride.

Katica/Eve finds Wyatt/Dragon back in her life. As her human and cyborg sides war and reunite she also has to deal with evil on a personal and worldwide scale. Can the love they once shared bring them together as they fight injustice and chaos? I love these two characters and how their story unfolds in human and scientific paths twisting and turning. Another page turner! Can’t wait for book 3 in this series!
