This book is the start of a new series, which introduces us to friends Nate, Stone, Ken, Joel, and Slade. Nate is an underground MMA fighter in training, with dreams of one day fighting in the UFC. But Nate is hiding a secret, one that means his dream may never come true, but that also has him hesitating to reveal his true self to Natalie, the girl that has captured his interest. This book deals with a subject matter that has not been widely explored before and it does so with sensitivity and true understanding.

This woman is just all around ultimate. Why anyone wouldn’t want her baffles me. She’s smart, funny, beautiful, and very passionate and I wanted to slap Matthew and tell him to snap out of it!

P.S. WinnThis is the fifth in a series of books that involves time travel in a unique way. Jennifer uses a bed her mother received to go back in time. In this story, she is taken back to Florida where both Native Americans and African American’s were getting terrible treatment by America. The author does a great job taking readers on a journey that combines suspense, romance and a bit of history as they follow along on the journey.

Wow, this isn’t my usual genre so I wasn’t expecting such a roller-coaster of emotions, I loved this book! Some great twists and suspense along with a lovely romance, I even shed a few tears at one point … and I don’t cry!
Elaine (Lainey) tries to keep herself hidden from her stepdad. Jackson (Jax) the school’s basketball heartthrob takes an instant shine to the quiet reserved nerdy girl who tries to keep herself to herself and hide under her big glasses and baggy clothes. On the night of their first date everything changes for Elaine, can she now keep herself hidden and safe?
Whilst this is a fairly short read, I still connected well with Lainey and Jax. I’ve only dropped my rating a little as the story is told throughout in dual POV, which I personally found annoying as each time it recapped on the same story. However, this doesn’t really distract from the fact this is a really great read and I’d definitely recommend.

Stranded on Vail Mountain is a well-written, gripping, fast-paced novella. I love short reads, especially those which grab the reader by the seat of the pants from the first line to the last – this one delivers! I’ve read this story twice and will read it again. This was my first read of this author’s works. I look forward to reading much more from her. I don’t write reviews often, but some stories are too good not to share.

The series, TIME AFTER TIME, follows a pair of quintessential lovers, Richard and Nicole, through their lives together, in different places, in different times, with different names and faces and sometimes even on other planets. This follows the alternative theory that the relationships we forge in this lifetime, both the good and the bad, are continued into the future, and are rooted deeply in our past. Whatever we do, whoever we love, and the good and evil deeds we do today follow us into the future. Unsettled issues will present themselves again and again until they are ultimately resolved. Those people who have had a profound effect on us in this lifetime will find us again in the future. And although everything changes, love remains.
Books in the TIME AFTER TIME series are BLUE LAKE, BELTERRA,
The BASLICATO, BENTLEY SQUARE, WAITING FOR RICHARD, and LORD OF BLAKELEY. They do not need to be read in order.
Lord of Blakeley is the story of Andrew of Blakeley, a simple farm boy who lives on a primitive future planet. He is chosen by the lovely Lady Aleese to be her mate and rises to become the most powerful man on the planet. But a jealous man with access to mobile transport devices wreaks havoc on the young couple’s happiness, separating them, her on an alien rock planet and he, aboard a slave ship, and then dumping them in present-day Chicago. One day Aleese vanishes into thin air, and Andrew is arrested for her murder and must stand trial. It is a story of devotion and jealousy, of loss and lunacy. And, in true Time After Time fashion, a story of love.

True Love Conquers All!
True love indeed conquers all, even the most challenging of obstacles, in Lord of Blakeley: Time After Time. I haven’t yet read the others in this series, but this one got me hooked on the story of Andrew and Lady Aleese. These two lovers fought valiantly to remain together through everything thrown at them by a jealous man who wants to tear the two apart by any means possible, and I fell in love with their journey from world to world, even through time. Their times of trial and separation let their bravery and devotion to each other shine through, and their times together were filled with sweet, romantic moments. If you’re a romantic at heart, this is an enchanting, emotionally intense tale you won’t want to miss!

Short, but worth the read
The worst part of this book? It is too short. Just as we have been getting things developed in the characters, the locations, the relationships, the author cuts off the story. Much like a Saturday Matinee… See you next week!! Uggg…
The story is basic Zombie Outbreak with introductions to the main characters, the history of the area and what is happening now. Add a few standard plot devices and viola, instant story. Now, this isn’t to say it’s like all the others, there is enough to make it fresh and worth the time to read. I am sure to pick up any and all books in the series as they become published.
All in all, a great ride, not too much gore, a touch of romance here and there, oh, and Zombies.
