This series is a continuation of the Summer Spirit Novellas.
Charlie has unfortunately managed to get into some trouble after witnessing a crime and has a choice of going to jail or being sentenced to a rehab program for community service under the control of Ms. Karma Kapoor.
But soon Charlie realizes that Karma has her own agenda, and he must do what he can know one day he may finally reach Clarisse unless others have control over his future.
Wow – this was not was I was expecting! It is so funny how we use the term “Karma’s a b*tch” when something happens but then Ms.Jacobey writes a book about it, and it is so great to see the truth behind it.
I’ve always had such a soft spot for Charlie and the fact that he honestly cares and that is why he is in the situation he is in. Yet when he chooses working for Karma over jail, he has no idea what he is getting into.
I loved meeting all the other “forgotten angels,” and I can’t wait to see what happens between everyone. There is so much potential for so many things to happen and tons of tension!

Both of them have suffered both physically and emotionally after their time in the army and they are trying their best to cope. This story centers around Joel and the girl he meets, Courtney. Their first couple of encounters don’t go well, but still, there is something between them and Joel is determined to pursue a relationship with Courtney. This book delves into PTSD (which both Joel and Slade suffer from) and the difficulties living with it.

Are you a Game of Thrones fan…this book is for you!!!

What a fantastic book!! The detail of the world of Terra rivals that of any other world in literature and film. Kevin Kessler does a wonderful job of drawing the reader into the world and into the story. I cannot wait to read more of the stories.

As someone with multiple transgender friends, I felt Trish …

As someone with multiple transgender friends, I felt Trish truly captured the internal struggles of a trans man years post-transition. Trish is a master at dialogue, the conversations between characters felt natural and not forced to push the plot. I also think EACH character had their own distinct voice. It was a pleasure to read, and I can’t wait for more.

Loved it!

I loved The Truth Inside. It was my first trans book I’ve ever read but Trish handled these mature themes very well. I loved Nate and Natalie together and see Natalie accepting of Nate made me so happy. I love Joss and Stone together too. Every book Trish writes is fantastic and I’d even read her grocery lists!

Amazing first book in a new series!

Edmisten’s book, “The Truth Inside” was not only well written but educating. I learned so much about transgender people, and this brought on a new respect for them.
The storyline was excellent, and the characters were believable, which I love in all the books
I can’t wait for the next book!
I highly recommend it!
