Invisible – L A Remenicky

Wow, this isn’t my usual genre so I wasn’t expecting such a roller-coaster of emotions, I loved this book! Some great twists and suspense along with a lovely romance, I even shed a few tears at one point … and I don’t cry!

Elaine (Lainey) tries to keep herself hidden from her stepdad. Jackson (Jax) the school’s basketball heartthrob takes an instant shine to the quiet reserved nerdy girl who tries to keep herself to herself and hide under her big glasses and baggy clothes. On the night of their first date everything changes for Elaine, can she now keep herself hidden and safe?

Whilst this is a fairly short read, I still connected well with Lainey and Jax. I’ve only dropped my rating a little as the story is told throughout in dual POV, which I personally found annoying as each time it recapped on the same story. However, this doesn’t really distract from the fact this is a really great read and I’d definitely recommend.

I’ve read several of Ms. Jacobey’s books, and again she makes you care about the characters and has a well-developed plot line. Reading this book was like eating peanuts, and it went by too fast. Will Bailey figure out how to survive? What will happen to her brothers? Can she learn to be bad enough to make it through the ordeal? Do she and Caleb fall into each other’s arms? This book does not answer those questions, but it does set the reader up for the next two books in the series coming out this summer. Myself I cannot wait to see how this plays out. Buy the book and take the ride.

First time reading a paranormal novel. Did not realize it when I purchased it. Was surprised that it held my attention throughout the book. In the past when I saw a paranormal book, I bypassed it without even reading the introduction. In saving Cassie, I was hooked from page one. I really loved the brother and sister relationship between Cassie and James. I felt their loving relationship added a lot to the story. I enjoyed Cassie’s feisty attitude the first time she met Logan when he stopped her for speeding. There were a lot of situations that Ms. Remenicky added to her story that made the book enjoyable for me. For instance, the way that Cassie’s grandmother could communicate with her and help keep her safe from the demon showed how much she loved her granddaughter. I enjoyed reading how Cassie and Logan’s love for each other developed over the weeks. I want to thank Ms. Remenicky for being able to read a book without any foul language included in the story. I also liked that Cassie was able to get pregnant and had a baby girl at the end—that was a nice surprise. I also enjoyed the book because the love scenes were tastefully done. For anyone who likes to read books without vulgar language and explicit sex scenes gives this book a try. It even makes you laugh at times. I would read another of L.A. Remenicky’s books again.

Absolutely addictive

My goodness, this story was addictive! I started reading it on my lunch break and couldn’t put it down! Finished it the same day, in fact. Having worked in the education system for years, I can say that the story is unfortunately realistic in a lot of ways. It’s also a pretty unique twist on real life, though. Becky is one of my favorite characters from a book in a while. She’s exceptionally real, right down to the flaws and insecurities of the typical introverted thirty-year-old woman. If anything, I would’ve liked more of this story. It was short and sweet, which let me get the answers I wanted right away, but that didn’t leave a lot of room for growth and development, and I found that I wanted more answers regarding Jason and his family.

I will point out that this story deals with what many people would call unethical behavior in the romantic involvement of a teacher and her recently graduated student. (I’m not sure that counts as a spoiler because I’m pretty sure you could figure that out in the first few pages). If you’ve got major issues with that, definitely pass on this one.

The story was compelling. Like I said before, if I could change anything about it, I’d just ask for more. I’m one of those people who likes to answer every possible question before it’s asked, so concise stories that meet all of their plot points without the extra fluff always leave me wanting more. All in all, though Jacobey did an excellent job with this story. The ending was nothing like what I expected, and the plot twists caught me by surprise. I definitely recommend it!

Invisible is one story that will stick with me for a long time. I am glad I got to read this one.

In the story, we follow Jackson aka Jax on a journey to protect the one who has always stuck with him in a sense through the years.

Elaine aka Lainie has been in hiding for ten years. When her past catches up to her, she will do anything to get away.

Lainie and Jax are two characters you can easily fall in love with. The journey is one you will want to read.

I loved it and really enjoyed reading it. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

He comes to the conclusion that Rina is Jessie’s girlfriend. Even though he has developed feelings for her, he does not want to move in on his brother’s girl. Someone appears to be hell-bent on destroying Rina’s dog rescue shelter, so when AJ helps out, they bond over trying to work out who the culprit is. The cliffhanger at the end was definitely not expected, but can’t wait to read the next one if it will be Jessie’s story. I received this book from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book.
