All Carson Reno Mystery Series Books are standalone novels. It is not necessary to read them in any particular order.
Someone is brutally murdering people in Memphis, and for unknown reasons, the killer wants Carson involved.
They’re not just killing people, they’re removing the victim’s fingers and leaving strange clues everywhere. Carson becomes involved when the killer sends him severed thumbs – each wrapped in bloodstained paper containing Bible scripture.
Clues are everywhere, but none of them make any sense and aren’t connected – yet.
Old names surface and the mystery gets stranger and darker as Carson tries to solve the ‘Fingerprint Murders’.

Fantastic book by Gerald W. Darnell!
I think of all the books I have read by Darnell this one was the best!
The twists and turns in it kept me on the edge of my seat. Carson Reno had a real mystery when the dismembered thumbs did not match the bodies. Moreover, the end was remarkable.
I highly recommend this book to everyone!

A fantastic start to a series.

This was my first paranormal romance, and I’m a total convert. I love the dramatic storyline, the hot sexy and the fantastic characters.
Vanessa is a heroine to be proud of. She is a very strong woman who risks so much just to protect what is hers. Travis is very much an alpha male, and I could feel the hotness oozing off the page. I would have like a bit more of his backstory to be included in the novel though, just to make him that little bit more rounded as a character.
The supporting characters and the villain are well defined. The villain definitely deserved his ending.
The book is well written, and overall I would highly recommend.

Tori Farrell has lived an incredible life. Raised by a Motorcycle Gang, trained to be an assassin, and a target of the FBI, having a normal life became an obsession. Taking her place in her brother’s band, she refused to let her dark and dangerous past force her to remain in hiding. The only problem with that was, some knew who she was in her former life.
The halfway house burned to the ground and her friends in imminent danger, it is time for Tori to take a stand. Surrounding herself with the strongest and darkest men that she can trust, she sets out on the greatest adventure of her life: to bring The Organization to their knees. Will they make it through the maze of lies and deceit? Will the FBI turn out to be friend or foe? And most importantly, will they all survive, as Tori makes her push to be avenged…

What a Long, Strange Ride It’s Been
By Backstage Blogs
The final book of a seven book series, and what a long, strange ride it has been. I really had no idea what I was getting into when I picked up the first book in the series in January, but this has been a very intense, interesting, twisting and turning, jaw-dropping journey from book one through the last page of book seven.
The title is Avenged, it is the end of the series – you simply know that s&%t is going to get real for this final installment, and it certainly does. Tori and her ragtag group are going to settle things once and for all, and it is quite an all-out melee.
The FBI – we finally get to see exactly who is playing on what team, and under whose direction. This has been the most compelling underlying storyline for me probably from book one. Seeing how this one falls into line is what I have been waiting for.
Tori’s Men – who is going to make it out alive becomes the most important question, at the crux of things more than who means the most to her. Everyone knows the risks..will it be worth it in the end?
The **bleeping** Organization – finally have all of the missing pieces come together on this mysterious bunch? Can Tori possibly take on something this big?
Tori’s big surprise – I had figured it out in the last book, but how long is it going to take her to see, and what will it mean for this story? How much will this interfere with what she needs to get done?
As always, well crafted, action-packed, well written and edited, it is all perhaps most important in this final book that it all comes together, flows, and brings closure. Ms. Jacobey gets excellent marks on all of the above.
Again, for mature audiences only. For explicit violence and sexual situations. I did receive a complimentary copy of this book for review.

Two years later, her best friend Terri is found dead in her hotel room.
Are the two deaths connected?
Laura Fitz and Detective Gibbons are on the case to trap a ruthless author trying to get away with murder!

Magnificent!

This was my first Carson Reno detective novel, and I’m now a fan. A detective story that weaves its way through magnificently described settings; Memphis, Tennessee, in the 1960’s, and characters that come to life, in front of you. Darnell’s ability to described and develop his cast of players is marvelous. I got to know his main character, Carson Reno, as he, in the first person, tells the story, and lets me know his feelings and thoughts, in his own irreverent way. From the prologue, I felt as if, Author Darnell, had pulled me in by my shirt collar, into The Peabody Hotel’s lobby, where Carson has his detective office, next to the Down Under Bar. I didn’t have to guess what the characters looked like, no, I could see all of them, their quirks and mannerisms. The murder plot (or murders), is very intriguing, twist and turns, clues everywhere, multiple suspects— that make the amateur detective in all of us, ‘sleuth’ our way through the book. If you enjoy a detective –whodunit novel, you’ll enjoy this one. “Another Jack Daniels and Coke please, Andy,” said Reno.

This is the last book in the series I’m sorry to see my friends on Vail Mountain Go. I feel like they are part of my family. Job very well done.

When past and present collide, how do you escape your fate?
Tori Farrell is finally on the path that leads to a bright future. Raised to be an assassin, she lived in a world consisting of drugs, sex, violence, and murder. Gaining her freedom, and discovering her true identity, she has reconciled the life was born to have with the one she fought so hard to flee. Managing to hold on to her soul mate, she is pushing forward, refusing to allow the fear to hold her back any longer.
Taking her place in her brother’s band, Tori faces new challenges. Learning to live the life of a rock star seems easy enough, and she quickly gets a handle on what she holds most dear. Soon enough, the tables are turned, with the realization that the FBI has merely taken to the shadows, waiting for the other shoe to drop. Only when her former lover forces his way back into her life does it become clear; some things are simply meant to be…

So many mixed emotions from this book!!
As Tori begins her new life as a rock star, the past isn’t quite willing to let go of her and let her move on.
As Michael lets her continue her new life, with him at her side, an ex-boyfriend appears, and he doesn’t want to sit by and let Tori go. Tori is confused with her feelings and doesn’t know what to do or who she wants to be with.
The band is questioning some of Tori’s actions, and things are starting to unravel in front of her.
When a serious incident occurs, Tori must finally take action, with her husband and ex-boyfriend both at her side.
