First book I’ve read by this author, I was not disappointed!
As you read this book you wonder how it will end. Will the mother be right or will there be a surprise ending? You’ll have to read the book to find out. What a bonus with the added recipes. They come from an Italian wife. Being married to an Italian and I love to cook, I can’t wait to try some of these dishes and pass them to our children. My mother in law did not cook, so we do not have the handed down, generation after generation recipes. Maybe a tradition will be started with my family and I will pass these on? I just ordered book two to see how the story continues and ends. I can’t wait to start reading it!

Jeanie49Echo of a Heartbreak is an excellent book. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the life lessons given in this book as well as the down to earth recipes Carol gave the readers. Unfortunately, I was in tears as I reread this book. However, I am relieved the essence of Melina lives on in her daughter in McKelvey House. I am going to try some of the recipes that are clearly given in this book. The author cleverly goes from storyline into her enclosed recipes. I have reread this book several times and enjoy it every time. Thank You.

A touching story and yummy recipes! 🙂
This is a wonderful little novella. Carol Ann Kauffman, author of Time After Time series, has written a completely unrelated touching novella. It’s letters from a dying mother to her unborn baby. She is leaving her letters on how to live her life, advice on growing up, falling in love. This book is incredibly touching. It’s also filled with amazing recipes, that the mother is passing down to her child. Recipes that the family always made.
This little cookbook/ novella is wonderful, touching and a great addition to a kitchen! 🙂
