The M Series: Matthew which is book five of this series. This book covers Matthew Cannon’s story, we learned in the previous book The M Series: Madison that Matthew met and fell hard for Madison as did she for him, but what happened during those years that Madison struggled without Matthew.

Matthew was the one Cannon brother that everyone thought would be a bachelor and would never find “the one”. Then Madison King walked into his life and turned everything upside down. She was incredibly beautiful, smart and his match in every way. She is the one woman he couldn’t get off his mind no matter what.

Follow Matthew as he lets Madison slip through his fingers and into the arms of another man. Matthew has a past and insecurities that he tries to hide. In this book, we see a side of Matthew that we don’t expect. We follow how he felt losing the only woman that truly touched his heart to family tragedies that he is right in the middle of.

This book touched me in so many ways. In the previous books, we say a different side of Matthew and personally, I loved seeing into his mind and how meeting Madison the first time affected him. We see this book through his Point of View and I loved every moment of this book until I got to the end of it.

Ryanne Anthony left me wanting more Matthew Cannon. I cannot wait until the next book in the series comes out so that I can see more of him. I love how reading this book felt like catching up with an old friend. I felt like I was right next to Matthew through his journey of heartbreak, loss, turmoil, lies and deceit. I don’t know if we truly know all of what makes Matthew tick but we learn what makes his heart beat.

Another hit for Ms Anthony. This book took me to places that I loved and makes me want to go back as soon as I can. You will not be disappointed in this book. So sit down with the sexy Matthew Cannon and see the world through his eyes, trust me you won’t regret it as he definitely raises the temperature in any room.

I give this book 10+++++++++++ stars and I am more in love with the writing style of Ryanne Anthony than ever before.

These felines have it going on. Join these cats as they expound wisdom of how to keep their humans on the right path. From cat boxes to playtime the house cats cover mostly everything, but I can see a sequel in the future with new tricks and tips to keep us humans in line. My cat JJ took note and will probably use some of these methods on her human dad and me. It was well written with a sense of humor and from the cat’s point of view. A recommended read for all cats and humans alike. I give it 5 paws for an entertaining read.

5 Stars for Last Chance Christmas

Another winner from LA Remenicky! I didn’t get into the Christmas spirit at all this year, but as I revisited Fairfield Corners this week, I decided there was no reason not to read a Christmas Story in February, and I am so glad that I made the right call. I am in love with Fairfield Corners – such an idyllic small-town setting. Add in some rockstars and hot cops, what isn’t to love?

This quick read stars one of Adam’s bodyguards from his touring days, and the sister of another. (And another totally cool dog as well.) Plenty of drama, and a touch of suspense and a HEA in a beautiful Victorian setting. This could certainly be read as a standalone, but why not read Cassie and Ragan’s stories too? I absolutely adore this author, and hope we will see more books and novellas in the Fairfield Corners series – the town is so well described it could be another character in the series, and I adore it! If the weather could be 70 degrees year-round it would probably be exactly where I would want to live.

Intriguing and suspenseful

A friend recommended this book to me, and I found it to be an incredibly exciting dystopian adventure. The characters are well defined, and there’s a lovely slow-building romance.
The main character, and Blood Master, Griffin, is complex and kind. Griffin is a survivor. Not only of the Great War, Clover Virus and Death Plague but also of the cruel experiments from the evil Guild Faction.
I found myself breathlessly rooting for Griffin as he struggles to hide his identity, undergo a transformation, all while protecting orphaned children and the woman he loves.

Having read my first Carson Reno novel, ‘Dead End,’ the 13th in this hard-boiled, detective Mystery series, I eagerly selected another—‘Shadows and Lies,’ the 16th standalone book. Drawn to the hallmark ring tones of the Sixties, and the aura of actual places cited by the author, I willingly booked a room at the Peabody Hotel for my reading sojourn.

The prominent Dumont family, proprietors of the prestigious Dumont Hotel chain under the auspices of Matthew Dumont, provide a strong case for Carson Reno to take on via his Drake Detective Agency at the Peabody. For starters, Matthew’s son Brigham’s third wife is missing. The first one died under mysterious circumstances. You’ll find out if the second was murdered by a serial killer or not.

Besides the whodunit, like Reno, you’ll want to know what else is going on—and why!

If all of the tantalizing tidbits of this novel aren’t enough for you—serial killers, a twenty-year-old armed robbery, murders left and right, greed, infidelity, lies, Mob influence, bogus security reports, and false identities—there’s all the other hallmark ring tones of the Sixties you become privy to:

Constantly lighting up. Gumshoes wearing suits. Conducting biz inside a lounge or bar knocking back a few beers or Jack Daniels and coke. And, dig these character names: Cheese, Spider Webb, Tucker Baggett, Rags Tobin, and John Dho.

I highly recommend “tunneling” through ‘Shadows and Lies’! However, if Lydia Longstreet can’t get a straight answer from Carson Reno, I doubt any reader will either, as to why Marion Dumont’s pair of pantyhose was under his bed.

I thought this novel was outstanding. The plot of the story was like a roller coaster, it went up and down and you never want it to stop. As I was reading, the characters felt like family and I cared about every one of them. I would recommend this series and I can’t wait until part two comes out.

An enjoyable read

This is a fun easy, fast read. When science meets fantasy involving time travel is where the storyline lives and shines. The characters: Sarah a lovely redhead and a prince. The story starts out with Sarah approaching an apparent lifeless figure on the floor of a dark dungeon. She has come to help the Crown Prince Lucas of the Mist Kingdom in the highland of LaMere. The prince corrects her by saying he’s not the Crown Prince but his brother and if she saves him, he has nothing to offer here. She does return the next night with food. As conversation ensues the reader discovers that the prince’s father, King Theodore of the House of Walker is close-minded, stubborn, vicious, and brutal per the prince and per Sarah a beast. The prince was out riding on his horse and woke up in the dungeon. He was apparently falsely accused of attacking and killing two men per Sarah but he protests he attacked no one. As it turns out he is, in fact, the Crown Prince and learns that his two other brothers have been murdered. Here the story conflict has been set and the storyline moves along at a rapid clip. Without retelling the whole story suffice it to say it was an easy, sit down in a couple of hours by the fireplace fast read. It’s worth picking it up to find out if Sarah manifested the courage necessary to ultimately be the heroine she set out to be. No spoilers. I enjoyed the read right down to the poignant dedication after the story.

Seeing with your eyes the truth can make a difference

Jenni’s story was a great way to show just how what you see and experience as a child may not be how things are when you are an adult.
Jenni saw Momma go through a lot to make sure she was safe, and Jenni loves her for it. When the club comes back she does not understand why momma welcomes them but the love of her husband and his way of proving not all MC’s are the same just might change Jenni’s mind.
