Fantastic Second Chance Romance!!!

I really enjoyed the first book in the Fairfield Corner’s series but Ragan’s Song totally blew me away. This was such a fantastic second chance romance.

Ragan left 3 years earlier with no explanation or goodbye leaving Adam to wonder what it was that drove her away. 3 years later & she is returning to Fairfield Corners for her parent’s anniversary party with her son, Skylar in tow. The weather takes a turn for the worse & soon she has an encounter with deer and ends up in the river. With no time to settle back into small-town mentality her past is thrust upon when her scorned lover Adam comes to their rescue.

Adam can’t believe she’s back and expects some answers. Ragan has a deep dark secret that she knows will have to come to light but she must guard her heart against Adam again in order to keep him safe.

Oh man, the twists & turns in this book. It just came together so beautifully.

Will these two work out their past issues & see what is right in front of them.

Definite must-read book!!!

The Minter

And Tassta realizes she is falling in love with him

In Blood Master by Kirsten Campbell, Atlanta has been completely leveled by an earthquake, rendering Underground Atlanta a refugee shelter. The displaced people who have survived the devastation of the earthquakes, the Death Plague, and the Clover Virus are forced to forage for supplies. Tassta and her brother Penn are on a raid to locate supplies for the Brotherhood Fortress, a unit of resistance against the cruel Guild Faction when they encounter Griffin Storm. Griffin is the only known albino left, all the others having died in the Guild Faction’s experiments. As they take Griffin in (he was injured in the raid), they come to realize that he may be the one prophesized to defeat the Guild Faction. And Tassta realizes she is falling in love with him. Griffin is torn between staying at the Brotherhood Fortress with Tassta or returning to the Underground to the children in his care and his best friend, Waylene. Things become more complicated when Griffin begins to undergo a ‘transformation.’

Ms. Campbell’s ability to develop characters is incredible. She makes you want to pull the characters out of the book and talk with them. Griffin is without a doubt the single most sympathetic character I have ever encountered in a novel. He goes through all kinds of hell, including a “dipping” experiment at the Guild Faction and the Death Plague. The poor guy just wants a regular life! Is that too much to ask for? And just when you think things might finally start to settle down for him, he starts to “transform.” Why, oh why, can’t he just have a normal life with the woman he loves? He has certainly earned it. The reader will root for Griffin and Tassta the whole way, and can’t help but hope things turn out well for them.

This book also has a completely satisfying ending that makes you want to read the next book, which I will get to very soon! I will never be able to go to Atlanta again without thinking of Griffin and Tassta.

wow, just wow!!!!!

All I can say is wow! Nothing is so terrible that it can’t get worse! This is the theme that runs through Viral Dawn. Casey, a high school student gets a lesson in this idea when an explosion unleashes a deadly virus into the atmosphere. Her life is on immediate lockdown separated from her family and fighting off zombies!!!! Yes, I said zombies. It will take some serious teamwork from the people she is locked up with to ward off the zombie horde and get to safety. Get ready for action, adventure and get ready to cry a little when things get worse for the group. I really enjoyed this story even though I am not usually a fan of zombie stories. Ms. Rankin’s storytelling held my interest and made me love the heroes.

Severed Finger!

The Black and White pictures mixed in with the story is classic! The Jack Daniels, the butcher knife, and the severed finger. Darnell’s style of writing, along with the sparse photos, paints a vivid picture in my mind and keeps me turning the pages. I’ve read one Carson Reno book before this and have to admit I am hooked. I don’t think Gerald Darnell can top this Reno Carson story. If you are going to read a Reno Carson, this is the one!

The plot of the story was like a roller coaster

I thought this novel was outstanding. The plot of the story was like a roller coaster, it went up and down and you never want it to stop. As I was reading, the characters felt like family and I cared about every one of them. I would recommend this series and I can’t wait until part two comes out.

Forbidden love – Yes Please! A must-read!

Angela Gray captured my attention from the first page. One question kept going through my mind as I read the book – What happened to Jolie? Angela provides enough hints to that question to keep the pages turning.

Love the word choices and how distinct the voices are for both characters. I also find Jolie very easy to relate to and rooting for her to get better and hoping she will follow her dreams.

The friction at the start of the relationship has me sitting at the edge of my seat hoping to read faster to see how they end up. Love the instant attraction for the forbidden love but being in a motorcycle club, there are no rules so why not?

I enjoy the storyline and how it progresses at the right speed. Definitely a book worth reading over and over again.

Amazing!

This is the first one I’ve read by Lawrencovna and I absolutely loved this book!
I love how she created her characters and made them seem real; even the dragon. I hope she writes more!
I highly recommend this book!
