I love his stories about my hometown Humboldt Tennessee. When I read the books I feel like I’m back at home. Please keep writing about Humboldt and other books.

I would recommend his books to any book lovers as I am myself. Please write more I can’t get enough of them.

Stranded on Vail Mountain is a well-written, gripping, fast-paced novella. I love short reads, especially those which grab the reader by the seat of the pants from the first line to the last – this one delivers! I’ve read this story twice and will read it again. This was my first read of this author’s works. I look forward to reading much more from her. I don’t write reviews often, but some stories are too good not to share.

What an epic rollercoaster read! Wow just wow!
This book is packed with everything: Gorgeous characters, breathtaking descriptive scenes and wonderfully told story. The ending broke me!!! I didn’t feel like I was just reading a book, I was visually captivated by this dramatic gem! I hope to get my ticket to see this story in the movies one day, and or find it on the small screen.

Great new concept in an MC book!

Loved having such a strong woman as the leader of the MC. Elizabeth is strong and feminine and a great role model for her two girls.
This book has humor and a bit of snarkiness and some really hot guys, who I hope to see more of in later books.
This definitely isn’t a regular MC book and I am happy to see that. I liked this new style of book.

While technically the third book in the series, Marika is actually a standalone novel, so people like me who read it without reading the first two books will have no problem understanding what’s going on. What I really liked about this book is the world-building: the way the author brings this alien world to life is fascinating. I also liked the main character, who grows right in front of your eyes while she finds the truth about her past and figures out her purpose. I was fascinated with the story and found putting the book down difficult, but lucky for me I read pretty fast and managed to finish it in one sit. Highly recommended for SF fans, but personally, I think there is enough love story in there to keep fans of multiple genres happy.

Lisa Borm’s novella Religion of the Trees is not what I had envisioned when I picked it up. But these four short stories that are tied together in that all the characters live on Harding Street.
Millicent, now an old woman, has an affinity for the trees, they offer her rejuvenation, vitality and a deep connection to life. She repays them by taking care of them, helping the young trees grow and, on the day, that a new baby is born on Harding Street, in the dark of night she plants a young tree on the families’ property. This tree grows with the child, bonds and helps the child find their path toward adulthood.
Ms. Borm has written these four short stories in such a way as to take this reader into the depth and breadth of the lives the trees touch. There is a depth of character, storyline, and understanding of the connection both nature and others bring to each of us that one would only expect in a wildly successful author.
The book is brilliant, rich in love, reconciliation, hope and is heartwarming. ‘Religion of the Trees’ was a profoundly enriching find. One that I will reread regularly.
I highly recommend this book as a powerfully told story and one that will stay with you long after you have finished. It will make you wonder what we as a society have lost when we gave up our connection to nature for the modern conveniences of today.

It’s very rare for me to find a book like this one and as you keep reading, there is a constant giggle that it just can’t stop. Stories like this are a reminder that no matter the age or the rough pass of time, love will still come to you, from one way or another, a mother, a relative or a close person to you will always care and get worried about you and as twisted as your life might be, there is a solution for that too.
I, honestly don’t have the words to express how much I love this book, especially because two months ago one of my beloved pet passed away and while reading this, I was remembering every moment of happiness I have with him, just because we have a language, can talk and complain it doesn’t mean dogs or animals in general don’t do that too, and considering the joy a pet brings to your life, it’s normal to suggest that this story happen to all of us in a daily basis.
No criticism, no suggestions, just buy and read this book, times are always difficult, no matter the perspective, but stories like this one can make everyone’s day a little bit better.
