I loved Seasons of Our Love. The well developed characters nudged their way into my heart or not. Some I loved to hate. I rooted for Danny and Rosie from start to finish. The story moves, but not linearly. With lots of twists and turns, you might want to fasten your seat belts. Whenever I put the book aside, the story lived inside my head calling me back. I never stayed away too long because I knew the author had more surprises in store. I hope there’s a sequel because I didn’t want this one to end. Angela wove an intriguing, compelling romance that anyone with a soft heart will want to read. I look forward to more from Angela Gascoigne.
I know this much is true: This book has seriously messed with my mind! Outstanding book! Dark, intriguing, suspenseful, mind twisting, grab you by your throat and pull you into a true nightmare kind of read! So well written with a truly twisted storyline that will not let you go until you reach the very end. These characters were very well written and truly complex.Evil walks the earth and he strikes every year on the same date and same time. Jill was the first, but she go away, so every year he tries to get someone just like her to replace her and become his “Queen”. This man, Kincade is truly twisted and no one knows just how twisted until you live through his hunt for his next victim.
I’m not going to go into the storyline as I feel that doing so would give too much away and you really need to read it for yourself to be able to grasp it.

Although this book is a standalone, it is more enjoyable if you read the first 3 books in the New Beginnings series. The hero, Ken, was introduced in the first New Beginnings book, while the heroine, Cassandra, is a new character. Ken is blind and the author does a good job of both showing the challenges a blind person may face, without invoking any feelings of pity. Both characters are likable and their relationship unfolds naturally.

On the Edge of My Seat!!!!
Beautiful, charming Bailey, appears to be a confident teen – yet she is a bit of a “people-pleaser”. One of the people most important to please is her mother. Bailey’s outward appearance and upbeat personality cover a darker, more introverted mentality. She holds painful true feelings deep inside – locking her heart away.
Early on in the story, something crucial to Bailey is ripped away, leaving her in incredibly stifling – circumstances. Though trapped intently within her private thoughts for what seems to be her whole life – finally, she’s forced to find strength from within and what happens will glue you to the pages of this adventurous story. This character’s rich intensity – gave me literal goose-bumps at times. I really couldn’t put it down.
As the story goes along, Bailey’s attitude shifts. It was refreshing to watch her move thru this transition – becoming a resourceful woman who is fearless about doing fighting for her survival in a messed up situation. At the same time, she learns about gratitude and how to appreciate the things most people take for granted.
There is a chilling theme within the plot that challenges social boundaries, yet does add to the intrigue and at times, rather disturbing revelations.
Suddenly danger looms, affecting millions and time is running out! Bailey faces complicated decisions which need to be made immediately.
I found myself pausing at the end of each page, anticipating what was going to happen on the next. In fact, the drama builds as the story goes on, so it is important to read the series of three books in order. I will warn you, there is some violence, but it is not domineering.
The author painted Bailey’s thoughts so precisely that I could easily view the world from behind her eyes. I applaud the author for creating such an energetic and independent young woman, as opposed to some of the weaker characters I’ve read in other books. This character encouraged me and gave me hope that I too, one day, may be as fearless as she. If you love strong women, you’re going to love Bailey as much as I do.

This story is a roller coaster ride of emotions involving a woman who just wants love and to belong. Ms. Anthony has written a poignant story and I loved every page of it! I give I WISH I WASN’T 5 stars for a wonderful story that will touch readers!

Dinky: The Nurse Mare’s Foal is the story of one little foals fight for survival after being taken from his mother within hours of his birth. Dinky, takes us on a poignant trip through the heart and mind of an animal, who was born for the sole purpose of producing milk in the mare. In the elite world of horses, Dinky was considered a by-product, a ‘junk foal.’
Dinky’s story will resonate with animal lovers, as well as anyone who has adopted. Although a horse, his story has been called an adoption story. The reader can follow him through the heartbreak, cruelty, loneliness, and finally to happiness in his forever home. His story is based on true events. Each event from the moment the author met Dinky actually happened, though it is the author’s interpretation of what he might have been thinking and feeling during the occasions described in his story. His early life which is unknown has been fictionalized by the author and constructed through research and imagination.
There are many wonderful animal rescue leagues, many are very empathic to these young animals, though some are not. Since Ms. Bishop has no knowledge of Dinky’s early days, she used the latter to enhance the strength of his story.
It will break your heart, open your eyes, lift you up, and teach you much about horses. It is suitable for all ages.

Emotionally engaging….insightfully written – Exceptional!
Every so often, I come across a book that strongly pulls at me to read; Dinky was one of these. It is not an easy task for a writer to keep her reader’s interest when the story is written in the first person. Ms. Bishop’s script with Dinky as the narrator of his story is exceptional. I loved this story – it is educational, emotionally engaging, insightfully written and so very rich in detail.
A real-life foal, the author brought Dinky vividly to life for me, from page one. Ms. Bishop’s interpretations of Dinky’s thoughts during the initial months of his life were so heart-wrenching to read yet, from the beginning, I found myself captivated by Dinky’s spirit. Despite the incessant cruelty done to Dinky by humans – he was always famished, underfed, ignored, and frightened – there is resilience in his nature that commanded my respect.
After reading the synopsis, I expected to be angry, to cry when Dinky, a `junk foal,’ told his story of being taken from his mother, a mare caught up in man’s cruel practice of breeding her only for milk to nourish a high-dollar mare’s foal. It was almost unbearable, reading of the cruelty done to Dinky during his first few months of life – the overwhelming fear for his fate: being sold to a meat market or to tanners, or being adopted. In the words of Dinky: “I wasn’t prepared to believe in the possibility of good things.”
The story shifted, becoming delightful and enlivening when the author and her husband adopted Dinky from a fair. At that point, my tears came then from reading Dinky’s accounts of his life in the fresh air, with ample food, water, and companionship. He tells us about learning to trust, to love and becoming part of a herd; and the silly ways in which he let the impishness in his spirit free.
Since my read, I have wondered if Marta Moran Bishop is a `horse whisperer’; I do not know. However, I do believe that she is a woman who speaks horse. Dinky told me so.

If there is anything remotely negative to say about this one it would be that it is too short. I have loved James and Marie in all the Fairfield Corners books, and adore this tease of how they met. In other words, I want more! 😉
This is fantastic through and through. If you are not familiar with the rest of the series, this can definitely stand-alone and can also stand as a great introduction to the series. It’s a quick read, but sweet. It sets the tone for the future of the series, though this one is set in Indianapolis rather than the quaint Fairfield Corners.

Intriguing and suspenseful
A friend recommended this book to me, and I found it to be an incredibly exciting dystopian adventure. The characters are well defined, and there’s a lovely slow-building romance.
The main character, and Blood Master, Griffin, is complex and kind. Griffin is a survivor. Not only of the Great War, Clover Virus, and Death Plague but also of the cruel experiments from the evil Guild Faction.
I found myself breathlessly rooting for Griffin as he struggles to hide his identity, undergo a transformation, all while protecting orphaned children and the woman he loves.
“TIME FOR BED RHYMES”, with its soft and luminous watercolor paintings by world-famous Artist Judy Mastrangelo, lovingly illustrates some of everyone’s favorite poems. These were written by well-known authors such as Robert Louis Stevenson, Cecil F. Alexander, and George MacDonald. And of course, it includes some delightful rhymes of Mother Goose. Judy has done a masterful job creating artwork for this beautiful book, which can be appreciated by all.
