Starts with an attack by a monster, and the threats keep increasing.
Cassidy Long is attacked by a monster and then finds herself in a world where fallen angels are fighting demons to protect humanity. She fights to convince the fallen angels to let her use her computer skills to help them in their war.
Rail realizes Cassidy is his soul keeper, but that doesn’t mean they have to be soul mates. However, this is paranormal romance, and the attraction between them is strong. Very strong. As the romance develops, so does the suspense.
If you like a world with a high level of risk and a variety of well-developed characters, you will most definitely like this book. TW Knight’s skill in describing events and emotions make it even more enjoyable.

“Loved it!” – The Truth Inside (New Beginnings Book 1) By Trish Edmisten

By Lori
I loved The Truth Inside. It was my first trans book I’ve ever read, but Trish handled these mature themes very well. I loved Nate and Natalie together and see Natalie accepting of Nate made me so happy. I love Joss and Stone together too. Every book Trish writes is fantastic, and I’d even read her grocery lists!

“My Favorite, So Far” – “Entwined” (A New Life Book 3) by Samantha Jacobey

LBDDiaries
My Favorite, So Far
This is how good the author is – she got me to read all three books (thus far) in a day and a half because I ended up staying up late late late to get as far as I could. This third in the series is my favorite, so far. It was really good to relax a bit with the heroine as she continues to grow and learn how to function in a world she knew nothing about. She is wise in so many ways and still innocent in others as she goes about setting up her *normal* life.
She hooks up with the hero (in this book) and here is the author’s gifting – about halfway through, you begin to feel your heart start to pound a little faster in anticipation because you KNOW the other shoe is about to drop. Nothing tells you that as you live with the heroine’s day-to-day activities but the author has written in “looming doom” without you even realizing it. As you’re reading along, you are actually waiting… waiting… because it is coming. You know it. It “almost” ruins the story because you want to skip ahead and see what happens so you can calm down and enjoy the story – but you don’t. You force yourself to take it one page at a time.
Sure there is another stinking cliffhanger. And sure it makes you go “grrr” because you have invested so much time in this amazing story, but if you are like me, you will tell yourself that you are willing to wait until JUNE for the 4th book. I don’t wanna wait, but unfortunately, I HAVE TO KNOW what is going to happen. Maybe I will wait until the entire series is written because it IS hard to read one book every few months hoping nothing happens to stop the continuation of the story.
Yep, obviously, the author hooked me, for sure.

” A Story That Needed To Be Told” – “Dinky: The Nurse Mare’s Foal” by Marta Moran Bishop

A Story That Needed To Be Told
By Lizzy
Marta Moran Bishop has crafted a very special story in the telling of Dinky: The Nurse Mare’s Foal.
Though it was the author’s intent to raise consciousness about the inhumane practice of breeding horses so that the mare is able to nourish a high-dollar mare’s foal, she does so much more.
In the telling of this story from Dinky’s point of view, the reader is immediately connected with this brand new life from the day he is born. He has only a few days with his mother, who teaches him as much as she can and then is taken away to a world he doesn’t understand. The story is so touching and heartbreaking. We want to comfort his fears when he wonders what will become of him. We rejoice when Marta and Ken adopt the lovable Dinky.
Dinky: The Nurse Mare’s Foal successfully sheds light on man’s inhumanity to horses, but this book goes way beyond that. For the most part, it is a delightful coming-of-age story of a horse. Through her very realistic interpretation, Moran Bishop brings Dinky into our hearts.
While I am an animal lover, I have never known much about horses, but this book had me completely charmed. I learned so much. It is beautifully and compassionately written and serves to teach people of all ages to understand and love horses.

“A truly rich and satisfying read” – “Blood Master” (Book 1 of the G.O.D.S Series) by Kirsten Campbell

#DYSTOPIAN #BESTSELLER #BOOKBOOSTER
A truly rich and satisfying readBy Elizabeth
This book is a truly rich and satisfying read. There are lots of details to be had within the plot and is a book full of mystery.
The book starts off fairly slow, but this is just so the author can outline the many different layers of the story and the characters and is definitely a much faster pace before long, with some great twists thrown in for good measure.
The two main characters Tassta and Griffin go through so much in this installment, and Griffin especially has a tremendous battle on his hands.
The characters are well-developed and likable and the budding romance between Tassta and Griffin was lovely and sweet and didn’t overwhelm the rest of the story which I liked.
This book needs patience and careful reading to really appreciate all the detail within which makes for a rewarding and compelling read in m opinion.
This is the first book of the series, and I cannot wait to read the rest of the story and find out what lies ahead for all the characters.
This genre is not something I have ever read before or what I would normally read, but I can wholeheartedly admit that I was hooked and I would definitely like to read more from this particular genre and author, especially if the books are as fantastical and gripping as this book.
This book is definitely worthy of 5 stars. The author Kirsten Campbell is a fantastic storyteller, and I personally cannot wait to be transported to this world again in the second installment.
