KNIGHTS OF DESTRUCTION E KAY SIMS
I loved Eve of Destruction, but this was a fabulous sequel! There was action, intrigue, humor and a hot steamy romance. Wyatt and Kat have found each other, but they must go up against some nasty characters on a mission to save a kidnapped Dr. Marda. I really enjoyed the novel, and I loved Gen who is basically Siri on steroids. If you are looking for a fast paced, edge of your seat read. Knights of Destruction is that book! 5 gold cyborgs

Short book big storyline grabber

Wow! This book grabs you right from the very start. The storyline is quite gripping and holds your attention through till the very end. Joan, the main character is on a short holiday with her husband to try and rekindle what has been dying. There is heartache, devastation, loss, tears, and love, so many emotions packed into this book. Desiree Scott is new to me in her writing, and I have found she is really quite good. I will read her books as they come into the market. If you enjoy reading, this book is highly recommended.

Beautifully written ending to Eli and Kit’s story

The Prince ends Eli and Kit’s story while leaving the door open for infinite possibilities in Never Land. As we’ve come to expect from Ms. Lawrencovna’s books, there is fantastic action, political intrigue, and battles for entire kingdoms. Eli grows even more as a character in this book, while still retaining her snarky, kick-ass exterior. Kit finally becomes the leader his people have been waiting for, ready to fight for everyone, no matter the curse. And do Eli and Kit live happily ever after? Oh, c’mon. Like I’d really tell you. Highly recommend this book!

Karen Vaughan writes from up North—way up north. You know, over the border in Canada, eh? I have kinfolk there, too, so maybe it’s family ties that make the characters and stories special. Not that she situates all her mysteries there. In book 3, Daytona Dead, Laura, and Gerry Fitz cross the border into the U.S. As preposterous as it may seem, they find themselves in the middle of a monumental mess from the moment they arrive for a honeymoon in Daytona Beach, FL. What else would you expect when you pull into the resort parking lot and run over a dead body? And, oh yeah, the dead guy you ran over just happens to be your ex-husband. In a situation like that, you can just thank your lucky stars if you get back to Canada alive and without creating an international incident. In Jamaica Dead, that international incident thing is back on the table. Another vacation, another murder for “corpse magnet,” Laura Fitz! When an obnoxious fellow traveler turns up dead, was it something he said, or is there something more sinister going on? Maybe even a bit of hoodoo or voodoo? You’ll have to read it to find out!

What I like best: Sarcastic one-liners, sometimes on the bawdy side, and delivered in a comedic style. Why not? Karen Vaughan has some stand-up experience on her resume!
