Hot guy angles, soul keepers and a prophecy
By Valerie Roberson
His Soul to Keep
By TW Knight

Can you imagine walking down the street alone at night and being attached by a monster and waking up on a barge with a bunch of really HOT guys around you? Well it happened to Cassidy. She instantly felt connected to the one called Rail and didn’t know why. He told Kaz that she was the one and that frightened her to no end. When she found out that she was keeping Rail’s soul for him and who the hot guys were, everything changed. She was more than his soul keeper and this put a new meaning in finding his brothers and sisters out there, while fighting demons and dealing with a prophecy and Lucifer. On top of it all, Cassidy and Rail literary shook the ground making love, thinking it was an earthquake or was it? Can they stand becoming one? Will they find the others? What do they have to do with the prophecy? And how is Lucifer all tied into it all?
All I can say is this strange romance goes to places that are twisted and defiantly fantasy worthily in any ones mind. Well worth the read!!!

Great beginning to a new series
By Elizabeth Agiantritis
This book is the start of a new series, which introduces us to friends Nate, Stone, Ken, Joel, and Slade. Nate is an underground MMA fighter in training, with dreams of one day fighting in the UFC. But Nate is hiding a secret, one that means his dream may never come true, but that also has him hesitating to reveal his true self to Natalie, the girl that has captured his interest. This book deals with a subject matter that has not been widely explored before, and it does so with sensitivity and true understanding.

So many mixed emotions from this book!!

As Tori begins her new life as a rock star, the past isn’t quite willing to let go of her and let her move on.

As Michael lets her continue her new life, with him at her side, an ex-boyfriend appears, and he doesn’t want to sit by and let Tori go. Tori is confused with her feelings and doesn’t know what to do or who she wants to be with.

The band is questioning some of Tori’s actions, and things are starting to unravel in front of her.

When a serious incident occurs, Tori must finally take action, with her husband and ex-boyfriend both at her side.

Absolutely Fantastic!
By Cinderella 7
I loved this story so much! However, it ended way too soon, I wanted to see them reunite and help the people (Indians). Why couldn’t you have made it longer? Authors do this quite often, and it saddens me. But I will read this story over again often, you can count on that. Any who read this wonderful story needs first to read the first book in the Wilderness series. If you don’t, you will miss so very much that will help you understand book 2. Enjoy reading both as I have.

Marta the void 5-7-18.jpg

Line Blurb

The Void, the first true paranormal short story written by Marta Moran Bishop, is reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock or the Twilight Zone of later days.

It will take you deep into the mind and heart of someone either living through a serious mental illness or something mysterious and dangerous resides in the void.

Many years before, Altori and her sister Helen moved into the village. Last year during the night of no moon Helen went out into the void and nearly died. A terrible disease spread through her body. She ran away to escape the possibility of death at the hands of the frightened villagers.

Will Altori survive the void and find her sister? Did Helen ever exist or is Altori suffering from a mental illness?

Line 5-star review

A very intriguing paranormal story.
By Leyla Atke
The Void by Marta Moran Bishop is a mystical, paranormal story about two unfortunate girls, sisters Altori and Helen. Helen disappears during the night of no moon in the void and Altori thinks about her sister all the time, trying to understand what had happened to her. She is sure that Helen is alive but where is she? Suffering from her hard work and unfortunate life, Altori falls into a trance several times and meets her sister Helen who is in awful physical condition but still alive. Sisters miss their parents and try to find out where their home is. In the non-moon void night, sisters make a journey carrying a cryptic box, their legacy. Using the items that were in the box, Altori makes a rite of purification at the end of which a mystical power carries both sisters home.

I love this paranormal story and the feeling of uncertainty it leaves. And yes, it is reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock or the Twilight Zone. It is still not clear whether the events described in the book occurred in the material or immaterial world. Was what is happening a sick imagination of Altori, whose life in the material world was so terrible? It still remains a mystery that only makes the book even more intriguing.

November 12, 2052: Earth has lost two-thirds of its population to the Great War. Many more lives have been lost to earthquakes, the Clover Virus, and the Death Plague. Years later, survivors are clumped into factions. Two of those factions—the Brotherhood and the Guild Faction—have battled over medical supplies and food for years. The fight is coming to a head as manpower dwindles, and the struggle becomes one to gain numbers, even if said numbers are children…

Griffin Storm, an albino man kidnapped and dragged into the Brotherhood, has transformed into a G.O.D., a Genetically enhanced Omni-dimensional being. Two weeks in the brig, and Griffin’s released after it’s determined that he’s learned to control most of his god-like abilities. His abilities have grown almost as much as his love for Tassta Vinetti and his unfortunate bloodlust. His bond with Tassta’s twin brother, Penn, has grown as well and is cemented in secrets.

Soon after his release, Griffin’s told that Guild agents and the notorious Trips (super-agents of the Guild) are in the Underground. He must now test his abilities to save the abandoned children that live there. Will Griffin rescue the children of the Underground from a tragic end? Will Tassta and Griffin’s love survive such turmoil? Can a G.O.D. forgive himself when death and destruction follow his every move? Read Blood Phase, the gripping second book in the G.O.D.s Series!

And I wasn’t disappointed! Griffin
By The Minter

I had read Blood Master previously and became enthralled with Griffin Storm’s character (for my review of Blood Master, click here). When I heard that Ms. Campbell was publishing the sequel, Blood Phase, I couldn’t wait to dig in. And I wasn’t disappointed!

Griffin, having earned the trust of Fortress authorities, is set to be released from The Brig, much to the delight of Tassta, his sweetheart. Although Griffin still has a lot to learn about balancing his newfound abilities against his inherent humanity, overall he does well and has enough control over his abilities to prevent caving into his inner desires. As his and Tassta’s romance heats up, Griffin gets the horrifying news that the Guild Faction, specifically the Trips, have invaded Underground, and are holding the remaining children, Waylene, and Skylar hostage. The chain of events that follows may be too much for even a G.O.D. to take in, and all his training to control his potentially destructive powers may be undone. The only tempering force is his love for Tassta, her family, the children, and his friends in the Underground. Readers will be taken on a real emotional roller coaster as Griffin battles both the Guild Faction and the two halves of himself, at the same time. Again, I am truly in awe at Ms. Campbell’s character-developing abilities.

Absolutely loved it and cannot wait for the sequel. Well done again, Ms. Campbell.

Genre. It is possibly because I love the dialogue in novels more than deep descriptions and also probably due to the fact I’ve not read book 1. It looks like I will now have to go buy book one to get my head around all the characters correctly.

Overall I have enjoyed the story. The author writes a great novel.

Pygmy Amazon Reviews
this delightful fantasy for middle school age children and enjoyed it. The author incorporated life lessons on relationships

I read this delightful fantasy for middle school age children and enjoyed it. The author incorporated life lessons on relationships, social responsibility, diplomacy, and learning to accept those who are different both physically and culturally. There were the effects of certain geological events on the environment and subsequent ramifications beyond the initial impact. All these woven into a delightful story without being a dry educational text.

The story is wonderful and aimed at youth who are just beginning to develop abstract thought. This book should be in school and public libraries. It would make an excellent supplemental reading for social studies or English with class discussions on trade, diplomacy, and social issues we deal with in our daily lives. The Dragon Dreamer would make an excellent book to help teach children how to think for themselves through these class discussions.

The two main protagonists, one is a dragon who is different from most and is the basis for the title, he’s a dreamer and is often teased because of it. The other is an octopus who is the healer in her pod. These two become friends after an unfortunate event that requires the octopus’ skills as a healer.

Antagonists are predators and beings who have to search for other sources of prey after a major geological event destroys their natural source of food.

The author was accurate in her descriptions of earth sciences. For example in the search for copper the dragons look for areas where turquoise is found, knowing that where there is turquoise there will be copper.

I highly recommend this book for sixth through eighth graders. A precocious fourth or fifth grader would enjoy it too. Older teens and adults who enjoy fantasy would also like this book. Even as a grandma I really enjoyed the book.

Dragon Dreamer is well written, the characters are well developed and it was easy to become emotionally involved with them. Great read even for an adult that enjoys children’s books.
