Cute, sexy with a few chuckles is how I describe HER OWN VALENTINE. Samantha Moore is the author of self help books and her latest has Flynn McCaymon of CO Clare Ireland in a dither. He is ticked off at the author for ruining the women in his town and intends to tell her. During a trip to America to vent his spleen something wonderful happens and he wants to tell her something else entirely. I think the message of this book should be DON’T GIVE UP ON LOVE. I give HER OWN VALENTINE 5 red hearts.

Just when I didn’t think that things could get any more heart-wrenching, it does. The roads that Stone and Maddie are forced to travel are are definitely filled with hardships. Will they survive? Can they live with their choices? Will they EVER find their find their way back to each other. I have very much enjoyed reading this series and truly enjoy the flow of the story and was able to completely connect with the characters in this series. You can’t help but feel the love that builds between Stone and Maddie and feel the heartbreak that the two go through because their past tries to destroy any chance of them ever having a future. I haven’t felt this kind of anger and sorrow for a couple of characters in quite some time…

Love, love this book! Nicky Hjort’s ability to craft a sentence is beautiful and simply remarkable. The complexity of the story is interesting, exciting, and makes for a fantastic read. Love all the palindromes. So clever. I’ve read Nicky’s other books as well, and I love that she creates such strong, powerful female characters. Another wonderful book by an extremely talented author! Highly recommended!

I loved this book! I was excited to read a book that had all my favorite things about paranormal romance (suspense, complex characters, great romance) but was also based on a different mythos than I usually see out right now. I loved Rail and all of the other Angels. I think the main characters for this first novel were really well-developed and thought out. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series! Great read!

Loved it!

I loved The Truth Inside. It was my first trans book I’ve ever read but Trish handled these mature themes very well. I loved Nate and Natalie together and see Natalie accepting of Nate made me so happy. I love Joss and Stone together too. Every book Trish writes is fantastic and I’d even read her grocery lists!
