SKY08Can the Andrew Dice Clay of British detectives get in touch with his inner nice guy when banished to Toronto? One can only hope the renowned politeness of his new Canadian colleagues rubs off on him and quick once this defective detective opens his mouth to speak. The stream of inappropriate epithets is jarring, to say the least. It’s no wonder he was exiled to [North] America by his Manchester superiors. Nigel Holme’s is loathsome and, oh yes, he also let a serial killer escape after the man killed the woman he loved. Derilection of duty left him damaged personally and professionally. Needless to say, his new compatriots are not that thrilled to meet Nigel. He and his new partner, Kristen Sherlock [yes, Sherlock & Holmes] don’t hit it off, but she deploys her niceness to correct and control the out of control Brit. Kristen’s got trouble of her own, though. Not all Canadian police officers are nice, and there’s an especially nasty one who has it in for Kristen. Why? Well, that’s part of what this ‘whydunit’ is about. Can Sherlock avoid becoming a victim of her vicious colleague’s wrath? Can Holmes shed his barbarous ways so that he’s a suitable colleague and partner for anyone, anywhere? You’ll have to read Holmes in America to find out–tongue planted firmly in cheek.

Amazing second book in a fantastic series
October 25, 2016
This book starts out with a bang. Lightning and a Dragon on thin ice, literally. It grabs your attention and never lets go. The descriptions are so detailed that you can picture everything in your mind, but not so detailed that it slows the story. We join our friends Scree, Arak, and their group as they go legend tripping looking for Ice Dragons. So many stories, do they really exist? Scree and Arak will surely find out if the lightning doesn’t strike them first.
I loved the first book as being introduced into a world of Dragons and Octopi was amazing. This book is an even bigger adventure. I hope these books are made into audiobooks as some stories are meant to be told out loud, and these are stories that should be heard. Of course, you need an actual copy of the book also to enjoy the fantastic drawings throughout. This, like the first book, is an awesome adventure for all ages. The new characters introduced are fresh and add to the journey. Drakor is a complex and fascinating addition. The characters draw you into their enchanting and sometimes dangerous world. Scree and Arak remain my favorite characters. The pace is perfect. It is truly a journey that makes you wonder what will happen next. I can not recommend this book enough.

The Black and White pictures mixed in with the story is classic! The Jack Daniels, the butcher knife, and the severed finger. Darnell’s style of writing, along with the sparse photos, paints a vivid picture in my mind and keeps me turning the pages. I’ve read one Carson Reno book before this and have to admit I am hooked. I don’t think Gerald Darnell can top this Reno Carson story. If you are going to read a Reno Carson, this is the one!

This was the first book in the Soldiers of Destruction series, and we get introduced to Eve, a cyborg soldier- a deadly part-human, part-machine who wants to remember her human side. What results is a rich backstory a solid character study of this woman, and at the centre of it all, a beautiful, tragic love story. I am not a crier, but it is extremely emotional, so if you are, you will certainly need the tissues for this one. A powerful read. 5 stars.

I loved the first book, but I have to be honest …
Wow. I loved the first book, but I have to be honest this one really had me on edge right from the beginning. You have a mobster who beats his wife Nikki and when she has the courage to leave she call the one person she knows she can trust but it’s too late his people have found her. But out of nowhere two giant men come to her rescue and take her into hiding. She never expected the tall sexy Bear shifter Bret to know her friend Sam she had called but when she shows up at his place looking for help finding Nikki she is happy to know she is ok. Now she has Bears and Wolves willing to do anything to protect her, but she can’t put them at risk. With her feelings for Bret growing and her fears for Sam and her brother Travis’s family getting stronger she does the only thing she thinks she can she runs. But she does not know that Travis and Bret have found out more about her husband than she ever knew, he is far worse than she could have ever imagined.
Read this book and see how Bret will do anything to protect the women he is falling in love with rapidly and what Nikki will do to protect the ones she cares for even if it is misguided and puts herself in more Danger. Find out how much of a scum bag Nikki’s husband truly is and what these crazy shifters will do to protect the ones they love.

Cianna ElizabethThis book was great! It had a little bit of everything in it! Italy, Racing Cars, good-looking guys! It’s a page turner for sure, and I think it’s my favorite so far in the Time after Time series! These books are so good they always keep me coming back to read the next story! I love the theme of the reincarnated lovers throughout all the books, and the ability to read them out of order and not miss a thing! Check this book out, you won’t regret it! It’s a great read for the summer!
