Fantasy, friendship, and understanding.

Beautifully written fantasy book that combines the sea creatures with our beloved loveable dragons. Scree (the healer octopus) takes a chance on healing a large beast (Arak the dragon) after he crashes and is terribly wounded a friendship develops that crosses all barriers from language to habitat. Their friendship teaches trust, honor, friendship, and peace. My son read the book after me, and he laughed and giggled and told me he wanted to be like Arak and have amazing adventures and meet new creatures. Now he wants a pet dragon, so I bought him a stuffed one that he has named Arak. I read the story to my 4-year-old daughter to her delight and mine she stayed still to listen and giggle. She wants to be Screw so that she can heal animals. She has tried to convince my husband and me that her toys need to go to the doctor so that they can stay healthy. Lol. I highly recommend this book if you love fantasy. This book teaches as well as entertains

Another book by Darnell that I couldn’t put down!

I became a fan of Gerald W. Darnell’s Carson Reno Mysteries after I read the first book!
His characters are believable and interesting to follow in his books.
“The Price of Beauty in Strawberry Land” has twists and turns that keep you wanting more. It is a book I had trouble to put down because I had to know what was going to happen next.
I encourage everyone to read this, and the other books, by Gerald W. Darnell.

WOW!!! Not What I Expected!

Not what I expected from a military storyline. Love my military stories, BUT this storyline just blew me away!!! Loved this sci-fi mixed in with present-day events, action-packed, emotional and loving. This is a MUST read. Off now to continue this exciting story with book 2 “Knight of Destruction.”

Action Packed Sequel

In the first Soldiers of Destruction book, we received an in-depth character study of Katica’s past with Wyatt Powell, the love of her life and the things that lead up to her becoming Eve Stone, cyborg super soldier. In this, Knights of Destruction, we move into the present day. This installment is much more action-packed than the first, which focused more on the love story between the leaves. While it is still prevalent here, the major part of the novel explores Katica/Eve’s powers, for want of a better word.

The different sides of Eve/Katica come into play, and I love seeing these different sides of two very different characters in one body, it’s very much a spilled personality thing happening here.

Wyatt Powell is stoic and powerful— an incredible character in himself.

This is an outstanding series, and I look forward to the next installment.

Fast-Paced Read

I liked the story. It held my interest even though I had a couple of problems with it. I liked a lot of the characters. The ones I didn’t I wasn’t suppose to. The story moved along at a fast pace and was filled with intrigue. Which brings me to my problems with it. Point of view changed a few times during the story. I can handle that when the author keeps me in the know. With this story, they changed with no real warning or break. Several times I was jarred out of the story by the abrupt change in POV. In all honesty, when I find this in a book the storyline has to have gotten my attention. It is one of the things can can cause me to shelf a book as, “did not finish”. The other problem I had was with the character Ken. I felt that there really wasn’t any closure with him and I was left hanging. I don’t want to go totally into who and why because it would be a spoiler. I would rather you read the book and judge yourself. I mention for the authors benefit. Despite those issues that I had with it, I really enjoyed the book. I kept turning pages to see how things would turn out.

This is a wonderful little novella. Carol Ann Kauffman, author of Time After Time series, has written a completely unrelated touching novella. It’s letters from a dying mother to her unborn baby. She is leaving her letters on how to live her life, advice on growing up, falling in love. This book is incredibly touching. It’s also filled with amazing recipes, that the mother is passing down to her child. Recipes that the family always made.

This little cookbook/ novella is wonderful, touching and a great addition to a kitchen! 🙂

I found this author at a release party for another author and thought I would try her book, I mean a woman-owned MC?
Tiffi and momma are awesome, momma has her place where she has her bar and Tiffi helps behind the bar. When the Angels grace the pen nothing is the same, Tiffi finds herself at a loss with the big men but Momma shines. I can not wait to see what happens with the Angels

CANNON’S & HARVEY’S I LOVE THEE

This book was suggested by a friend of mine, and I want to get down on my hands and knees and kiss his feet. Ryanne Anthony is an amazing author that needs to be read. Broken was an amazing book it had me laughing to where tears were falling down my face to a point in the book I was sobbing because it touched me so deeply. Ryanne is the type of author that has you sitting right next to the characters in the book, and you walk their path in life with them. When I finished this book, I felt a loss for the characters have loved and learned about. I wanted to read more, and luckily I can read on in Mariah the next book in this series. I am a huge fan now, and I can’t wait to start reading more about this amazing cast of characters.

This book is about two merged families the Cannons and the Harvey’s as they are all pulled into a therapy session with Victoria Fields to save the marriage of Joshua and Mandy Cannon, but as the session moves on, we learn much more. Secrets will be revealed can the families remain whole or will these secrets destroy them. This a must read and one book that will hit my go to on those days when I need a lift. I loved learning about their lives and cannot wait to continue their journey and learning more about them. The Cannon’s and The Harvey’s are now part of my family, and I love every single one of them. Does this book deserve 5 stars? No, it deserves 10++++ I loved this book and I will forever rave about Ryanne and her amazing talent as a writer.
