Edmisten has a wonderful gift!
I love how Trish Edmisten brings her characters to life and puts them in realistic situations. This is the second book I’ve read by her.
Joel is self-conscience about his missing leg, but his best friend, Slade, is paralyzed and will spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. They joke and tease each other but when the PTSD hits they’re there for each other.
Then Joel meets Courtney and finds he’s falling in love but has his reservations.
I couldn’t put this marvelous book down!
I highly recommend Standing on His Own!

“THE STAR” is an enchanting book, illustrated with beautiful, colorful, and whimsical paintings, by world-renowned artist Judy Mastrangelo. It contains the entire immortal poem, which is also known as “TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE STAR”, written by Jane Taylor. Judy has interpreted this in a unique and enthralling way, with delightful Fantasy Animals and other imaginative characters, all playing in a Magical Night-time Sky. Review:“THE STAR” is certainly a star release. Beautifully put together, handsomely designed and delicious in every way. This book will make a fine addition to the collections of those who love great artwork.

A book for who appreciates soft, classic, traditional illustration.
I got really interested in Judy Mastrangelo right when I first met her work. A contemporary artist doing such a meticulous artwork in this classic, traditional style is a really rare thing to find. I was very intrigued and curious to read and see her books. The Star is a book illustrating the famous poem Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star by Jane Taylor. I think the book is nice. The illustrations inside the book are as lovely as the cover illustration. The ageless, soft style in pink, blue and yellow of the illustrations fits nicely this classic poem. I appreciate the dedication with which these images were made, creating a dreamy world of orderly, sweet beauty. The design and formatting of the book are ok, but I think that these illustrations deserve more refined formatting. I recommend this book for children and adults who appreciate soft, classic, traditional illustrations.

Great start to the series.
This was a really fun and fast read. It kept me hooked and not wanting to stop until the end. It does start off slow but the authors building a lot of backstories which is really nice. A lot of reviews are saying its too short but that really isn’t the problem. Its the first book in the series and it’s over 200 pages. The problem is you get to the end of this one and you want book 2 so you can know what happens next.
The character building in this story is amazing. You really get to know Casey and feel for her. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who’s a fan of zombie novels. YA or not its a great story. I cant wait to see where the rest of the series goes.

Frank Scozzari
a smart and competent character
Author Gerald Darnell writes a potent crime story in DEAD END, a spellbinding mystery that is fast-paced and exciting.
Carson Reno, a smart and competent character, has his heart is in the right place. He’s not going to quit, no matter what happens, no matter what it takes. If you’re in trouble, he’s going to come save your bacon. In this novel, he is set on a mission to find and protect his friend Jack Logan’s client. Where it takes him is into the dark side of small-town Tennessee; where murder, blackmail and organized crime reigns.
Though this is the thirteenth book in the Carson Reno Mystery Series Once, it can also be read as a stand-alone novel. Once more, you can count on Gerald Darnell for action both physical and cerebral, a bit of humor and romance, and a mighty good dose of adventure and mystery. I think fans and newcomers alike will get hooked and will want to read the entire series.

Awesome PNR Fiction Must Read!
What an awesome first PNR read & the first book I’ve ever read by this talented author, but it definitely won’t be the last! Great storyline and new take on wolf shifters with animated characters, that kept me glued to the book & pages turning 🙂 I never write spoilers or recap blurbs, but I do know when a book is a great must-read! … Originally I was given an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review but loved it so much, I just one-clicked my own copy to keep 😀 So yes I highly recommend this must-read to all fiction lovers, especially in paranormal, shifters and fantasy! Can’t wait for upcoming works from Ms. Scott 😀
