Short, but worth the read
The worst part of this book? It is too short. Just as we have been getting things developed in the characters, the locations, the relationships, the author cuts off the story. Much like a Saturday Matinee… See you next week!! Uggg…
The story is basic Zombie Outbreak with introductions to the main characters, the history of the area and what is happening now. Add a few standard plot devices and viola, instant story. Now, this isn’t to say it’s like all the others, there is enough to make it fresh and worth the time to read. I am sure to pick up any and all books in the series as they become published.
All in all, a great ride, not too much gore, a touch of romance here and there, oh, and Zombies.

Are Preppers Eccentric or Truly On To Something
This series has grabbed onto me more than I expected it too. I haven’t honestly given a lot of thought to “prepper” scenarios and wasn’t sure I would enjoy reading about it – until I got the first book in this series, and Bailey, Caleb and the rest of the Ranch crew got under my skin. Ms. Jacobey has done a magnificent job of bringing Bailey from her upscale, typical self-centered teen life to a whole new world, and a complete change of priorities and world view.
In this installment, Bailey has a number of new realities to face, both in her own life and in the things going on in the world as a whole. Though she has grown so much in a very short time, we are reminded that she is still just a teenage girl in many of her actions. They definitely have their own sense of logic at that age – something the author fully grasps and relays to the reader.
I read another review that says there was not much going on in this second book of the trilogy. I have to respectfully disagree – I think that is part of the flow of a trilogy, and feel that this was all vital to set the stage for what is to play out in the final book of this series. I cannot wait to see how Samantha brings it all together from here!
Kimber wanted to be a lawyer almost as much as she wanted Roland Sampson, her older brother’s best friend. After pining for him for two years, Kimber finally accepts that to Roland, she will always be “his best friend’s kid sister,” and nothing more.
During her first year of college, Kimber meets Samantha and her twin, ultimate bad-boy Jaxen Malloy, drummer for Negative Ion. Tatted. Muscled. Beyond gorgeous. Soon Kimber finds herself forgetting Roland and thinking only of Jaxen, much to Samantha’s disappointment. Like Kimber’s brother, Samantha wants Kimber as far away from Jaxen, female enemy number one, as possible since she knew all Jaxen would do is viciously hurt her. Not this time, Kimber insisted. Well-schooled on Jaxen’s reputation, Kimber decides to take what she can get, and ignore all the warnings to stay away from the handsome bad-boy.
Will Jaxen ever think of Kimber as something other than his “annoying” sister’s friend or was he falling for her, too? Kimber hoped so and, to find out, she was willing to take the risk of Jaxen breaking her heart… and soul.

A must read..
Really loved this story about Kimber and Jaxen. I couldn’t believe they loved each other all this time and it took them so long to get together. A must read it was sad towards the end. I wanna read the next two to see what happens to them. The ending was a cliff hanger. Does she stay married to Roland or go with Jaxen? I have to know. This book had me in suspense couldn’t put it down till I was done.

On the road to publishing heaven
Ms. Ackerson correctly notes that “we all know we need social media,” but her book is about using social media the right way. Whether a new author or much-published, it’s readers and reviews that pave the way to sales–and many authors don’t know how to go about getting them in this digital age when social media skills are critical to success. Ms. Ackerson’s book is a concise, easy to read manual that offers help and hope. If you’re already on the road to publishing heaven, she can give you tips to expand your marketing activities. If you’re just starting out, her book can answer questions and help you develop a plan to get going the right direction, and all this information is presented in a friendly style with real-time examples. I’d say it’s a must-read–and I’m going to start taking some of her advice for my own writing career.

INTRIGUING THRILLER!
Format: Audible Audiobook
Cool political thriller!
Very gripping was captivated from beginning to end. Short/easy listen, but jam-packed with Bussa awesomeness. What IF that were to happen? Would it work? A deadly game to play!
Winnie Award Winner at the Equus Film Festival. Best Equine Rescue book.
Dinky: The Nurse Mare’s Foal is the story of one little foals fight for survival after being taken from his mother within hours of his birth. Dinky, takes us on a poignant trip through the heart and mind of an animal, who was born for the sole purpose of producing milk in the mare. In the elite world of horses, Dinky was considered a by-product, a ‘junk foal.’
Dinky’s story will resonate with animal lovers, as well as anyone who has adopted. Although a horse, his story has been called an adoption story. The reader can follow him through the heartbreak, cruelty, loneliness, and finally to happiness in his forever home. His story is based on true events. Each event from the moment the author met Dinky actually happened, though it is the author’s interpretation of what he might have been thinking and feeling during the occasions described in his story. His early life which is unknown has been fictionalized by the author and constructed through research and imagination.
There are many wonderful animal rescue leagues, many are very empathic to these young animals, though some are not. Since Ms. Bishop has no knowledge of Dinky’s early days, she used the latter to enhance the strength of his story.
It will break your heart, open your eyes, lift you up, and teach you much about horses. It is suitable for all ages.

Horse Lovers Beware: Dinky will steal your heart!
Dinky: The Nurse Mare’s Foal is a book to delight horse lovers of all ages. The horrors of the cruel treatment suffered by many broodmares who give birth only to have their new foal taken from them so that they can nurse another more important foal, is offset by the compassionate treatment of the subject and the wonderful story-telling ability of the author. Told from the point of view of a very young foal, Dinky sets the stage with comments like, “I stood there looking at her with my cutest little boy expression,…”; and humorous ones like, “I realized I’d gotten my wish to stay out in the sun longer. I truly needed to be more specific, I thought…”; to horse communication statements such as “Humans seem pretty stupid, Dinky. We can learn their language, but I have yet to meet one that understands horse.” Fortunately, Dinky discovered that there are a few who can understand “horse” when he was adopted by author Marta and her husband Ken, and he meets his new brother and sister, fellow horses Chrome and Connella. Connella tells him, “Marta and Ken will take care of us and feed us. They teach us how to be part of their world, and we show them how to be horses.” The loving relationship between Marta and her horses is evident throughout the story. Dinky tells us, “I knew she was my human, so I wrapped my head around her, the way we horses hug a human.” Having spent my own adolescent years as a horse fanatic, I can really relate to that horse hug!!! This book would have been one of my favorites then, and it is definitely one of my favorites now…

I do wish the book was longer but it was the right length for that particular story.
November 12, 2052: Earth has lost two-thirds of its population to the Great War. Many more lives have been lost to earthquakes, the Clover Virus, and the Death Plague. Years later, survivors are clumped into factions. Two of those factions—the Brotherhood and the Guild Faction—have battled over medical supplies and food for years. The fight is coming to a head as manpower dwindles and the struggle becomes one to gain numbers, even if said numbers are children…
Griffin Storm, an albino man kidnapped and dragged into the Brotherhood, has transformed into a G.O.D., a Genetically enhanced Omni-dimensional being. Two weeks in the brig, and Griffin’s released after it’s determined that he’s learned to control most of his god-like abilities. His abilities have grown almost as much as his love for Tassta Vinetti and his unfortunate blood lust. His bond with Tassta’s twin brother, Penn, has grown as well and is cemented in secrets.
Soon after his release, Griffin’s told that Guild agents and the notorious Trips (super-agents of the Guild) are in the Underground. He must now test his abilities to save the abandoned children that live there. Will Griffin rescue the children of the Underground from a tragic end? Will Tassta and Griffin’s love survive such turmoil? Can a G.O.D. forgive himself when death and destruction follow his every move? Read Blood Phase, the gripping second book in the G.O.D.s Series!

And I wasn’t disappointed! Griffin
I had read Blood Master previously and became enthralled with Griffin Storm’s character (for my review of Blood Master, click here). When I heard that Ms. Campbell was publishing the sequel, Blood Phase, I couldn’t wait to dig in. And I wasn’t disappointed!
Griffin, having earned the trust of Fortress authorities, is set to be released from The Brig, much to the delight of Tassta, his sweetheart. Although Griffin still has a lot to learn about balancing his newfound abilities against his inherent humanity, overall he does well and has enough control over his abilities to prevent caving in to his inner desires. As his and Tassta’s romance heats up, Griffin gets the horrifying news that the Guild Faction, specifically the Trips, have invaded Underground, and are holding the remaining children, Waylene, and Skylar hostage. The chain of events that follows may be too much for even a G.O.D. to take in, and all his training to control his potentially destructive powers may be undone. The only tempering force is his love for Tassta, her family, the children, and his friends in the Underground. Readers will be taken on a real emotional roller coaster as Griffin battles both the Guild Faction and the two halves of himself, at the same time. Again, I am truly in awe at Ms. Campbell’s character-developing abilities.
Absolutely loved it and cannot wait for the sequel. Well done again, Ms. Campbell.
