I loved The Truth Inside. It was my first trans book I’ve ever read but Trish handled these mature themes very well. I loved Nate and Natalie together and see Natalie accepting of Nate made me so happy. I love Joss and Stone together too. Every book Trish writes is fantastic and I’d even read her grocery lists!

This book is the first in a 5 book series, though it can be read as a standalone, since the next book will feature a different couple. The main characters are Heath and Ned. Heath is a tattoo artist and owns his own business with his brother Cooper. The other tattoo artists are X and Flynn and their Manager is Damian. All the men get along well and are like brothers to each other. Ned is a nurse and is one of 5 quintuplets. Heath and Ned meet when Ned’s brother Derek comes to Heath’s tattoo parlor to get a tattoo done. Ned is skittish of relationships, but Heath is patient and with Derek’s help starts dating Ned. The only problem is that both Ned and Heath are hiding something secret from each other, which could potentially pull them apart. There is a lot of humour throughout the book as well as deep emotion. The end was satisfying and I’m eagerly looking forward to the next installment.

At the age of eighteen, Slade couldn’t wait to join the Army and get away from the boredom of small town living. Two years later, his life is irrevocably changed when an IED blast leaves him paralyzed from the waist down. Though he’s back in the one place he was determined to get away from, things could be worse. At least he’s got a good group of friends to help him out, and that will have to be enough. No woman wants to be stuck with a broken man. Then Mac comes crashing into his life, stirring up feelings that Slade never thought he would feel again. As much as he wants her, Slade can’t believe she feels the same. Will his insecurities keep them apart, or will Mac be able to convince Slade she loves him the way he is?
Author’s Note: Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. This is a 68K word novel with a guaranteed HEA.

New Series, Great Start.
I stumbled upon this author by accident and I’m glad I did. Loved Heath and Ned’s story. I believe you will too. We have the Going Inksane group and then we gave the quints. Ned is a quint. His brothers are a riot. Loved the interaction between them. The Inksane are brothers by choice and loved their snark. Heath and Ned’s story is sweet. Ned’s backstory is heartbreaking and is the cause of his loneliness. Heath is the balm that soothes it. Can’t wait for the next brother’s story.

This book is the start of a new series, which introduces us to friends Nate, Stone, Ken, Joel, and Slade. Nate is an underground MMA fighter in training, with dreams of one day fighting in the UFC. But Nate is hiding a secret, one that means his dream may never come true, but that also has him hesitating to reveal his true self to Natalie, the girl that has captured his interest. This book deals with a subject matter that has not been widely explored before and it does so with sensitivity and true understanding.
