Loved this story!
Going into this story after reading the blurb I went into the story expecting one thing, but what I got was completely different! This story was wonderfully written and touched on a subject that is not talked about very often. It was like a breath of fresh air, and I absolutely loved it! There was a twist I just didn’t see coming!
The characters within the story were all great. I loved how they were not perfect, And that they all seemed to have a little secret, I really want to find out what each of their secrets are! Nate and Natalie were a great couple. I really liked how Natalie was so supportive of Nate. The book had many laugh out loud moments for me which was great! I love a book that can make me laugh. It was also quite emotional, made me tear up a couple of times. I could feel Nate’s anxiety through the book, I just wanted to reach inside and tell him that everything was going to be ok!
The book had a very in-depth look into the MMA world. I could see that the author really researched this subject, I may have learned a thing or two myself about the industry. I also really loved that the cover model has a story of his own to tell! I really loved that he is on the cover of this fantastic book.
You shouldn’t feel a need to hide who you are and this story gives hope to others who may find themselves in similar situations. This is a beautiful story of finding your way and finding that person who will be with you through thick and thin, they are always by your side and loving you unconditionally. I can’t wait to read the stories that will come next in this series.

Excellent writing, and relatable characters
This was the second book in the Going Inksane series. I loved the fact that the initial attraction between Derek and Flynn was actually subtly hinted at in the first book in the series. Personally, I also loved the fact that it wasn’t really insta-love. I also really appreciated Flynn as a character. He’d lost so much, and yet had done much to give in a sense..and Derek, well, even as a cop, and the less awesome parts of his job, he was still really positive, and such a …caring person. I also appreciated the way Derek was patient and understanding. The lighter moments, the ridiculously charming nicknames, and the Nice family dynamics just added so much. Trish Edmisten is quickly becoming a one-click author for me, and I can hardly wait to see what comes next! I received an advance copy from the author in exchange for my review.

Fantastic! Loved it!
This is a great book from a new to me author. Usually, I don’t really try many new things without a recommendation but came across this, it sounded interesting and like something I’d enjoy so I decided to give it a chance. Very very glad I did!
Firstly hot inked men, yes, please. Secondly, family connections-one of my favorite things. I absolutely love series about families whether by blood or brotherhood. Thirdly, sexier men-in uniform and a slightly geeky writer. It’s like the author set out to hook me-probably not, but it worked anyway!
I really liked Heath & Ned’s connection and how they worked together. There wasn’t as much naughty time as some but it fit the story and the chemistry and passion was there regardless. They worked out their conflict towards the end maybe not ideally but realistically.
Overall a well done, engaging book. Loving and sexy. some serious moments but plenty of lighter moments and of course gotta have sarcasm and teasing when you’ve got families involved. Loved meeting all the characters and I will be looking forward to more. Wonder who is next!

Edmisten has a wonderful gift!
I love how Trish Edmisten brings her characters to life and puts them in realistic situations. This is the second book I’ve read by her.
Joel is self-conscience about his missing leg, but his best friend, Slade, is paralyzed and will spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. They joke and tease each other but when the PTSD hits they’re there for each other.
Then Joel meets Courtney and finds he’s falling in love but has his reservations.
I couldn’t put this marvelous book down!
I highly recommend Standing on His Own!

Another winner!!!
Ride or Die is the second book in the Nice Ink series, though it can be read as a standalone. All of the featured characters from the first book play a role in this book too. The two main characters, Derek and Flynn actually met in the first book. Although Derek showed an interest in Flynn from their first meeting, Flynn’s feelings were not known. In Ride or Die, we find out that Flynn returns Derek’s interest, but won’t act on it, for reasons of his own. Despite not receiving much of an encouragement, Derek doesn’t want to give up on Flynn and manages to get a first date with him. That goes well and they form a relationship. Flynn is still reluctant though, but Derek, suspecting something troubling in Flynn’s past, decides to be patient. Only time will tell if his patience will prove fruitful. It was great to see all of the characters returning and their interactions with each other. Like the first book, there is a lot of humour and good-natured ribbing going on between the characters.

New series set in a tattoo parlor
This book is the first in a 5 book series, though it can be read as a standalone since the next book will feature a different couple. The main characters are Heath and Ned. Heath is a tattoo artist and owns his own business with his brother Cooper. The other tattoo artists are X and Flynn and their Manager is Damian. All the men get along well and are like brothers to each other. Ned is a nurse and is one of 5 quintuplets. Heath and Ned meet when Ned’s brother Derek comes to Heath’s tattoo parlor to get a tattoo done. Ned is skittish of relationships, but Heath is patient and with Derek’s help starts dating Ned. The only problem is that both Ned and Heath are hiding something secret from each other, which could potentially pull them apart. There is a lot of humour throughout the book as well as deep emotion. The end was satisfying and I’m eagerly looking forward to the next installment.
