A really interesting series of novellas!

Summer Angel – Who are Charlie and Bethany? Who is John? What is happening in their lives? Who is Clarisse? What journey does she take one of those three on and why? Things finally start to make sense as I realize what has happened. It makes my heart sad. Who is Gous? Who is Donna? You need to read to see what is going on.

Dark Angel – What we find out about Donna, who she is, what her family is like and what has happened to her that makes her like Charlie is interesting. We find out more about Gous and the others as well. We see what is going to happen, to some degree, at least we’re told what needs to happen in order to make things right.

Forgotten Angel – After what happens with Clarisse, and promises that are made, how does it affect Charlie? What happens that puts Charlie and Bethany into a tailspin and on a road trip? Where are they leaving and where do they go to? What happens on the way there? What about once they get there? All I can say is I like Keeper, and the enigma that he is. I cannot wait to read The Karma Set of this series of 9 novellas. Happy reading!

Karma’s Minion – Wow, all I can say about the start of this fourth story of the series is WOW. You always hear about not messing with Karma and we see how it comes back against Charlie in this one. What did he do that was so wrong to make Karma angry? What happens when Charlie goes to a cafe for a coffee and something to eat while his mother gets to sleep in? Who is Ms. Kapoor? What does she have to do with all of this and why? I like the Yin and Yang aspect of this story.

Karma’s Revenge – Wow, having just gotten a few chapters into this, and seeing Charlie and Clarisse meet up again and Dante’s part in their reunion was very interesting indeed. When Clarisse finds out what has been happening for and to Charlie and the decisions he has had to make caused things to get very interesting indeed. What happens when Gous shows up again? Things do get mighty interesting.

Karma’s Legacy – WOW! I did not expect what I saw in this third portion of this trio of books dealing with Karma. There is so much more going on than I anticipated or could have even dreamed about. You need to read this and see what happens, because I’m just like, “WOAH!”

Keeper of Truth – Holy smokes, this series of Summer Spirit Novellas keeps getting more and more intense! As I start to learn more about what Charlie’s path may be, I am more and more stunned and floored. We find out some things in this book that are good, and some that are scary. I am happy for Clarisse and Charlie and sad for Tabitha, Charlie’s best friend from his human life. If you have not read the first six books of this series of novellas you need to go read them before starting in on the Keeper Set.

Keeper of LIes – This book really had me questioning even my own sanity in some points. I felt like I was truly there and was losing my mind at the half-truths and deceptions that I am sure are going on but I cannot be positive of. I cannot wait to start the last book in this series to see how it ends!

Keeper of Oblivion – Wow, I did not expect that ending to the series. I love that there are things that keep it possible for something along the lines in the future to come. I love watching Charlie become the man he is meant to be. I love watching what he does and how he stands up for everyone that is different from them. You need to see how this turns out!

Almost seventeen Bailey learns that her parents have died in a car crash on their wedding anniversary. If that’s not bad enough she and her young twin brothers are put in the care of an absent uncle with some baggage. The next thing she knows she is taken to a small city in the middle of TEXAS! (As a Yankee that alone would be enough to make me slit my wrists. 😉
They settle in for a few months and then the reality of her new life changes again. Bailey is a privileged self-proclaimed good girl but acts out hoping to return to her home. She is smart and intuitive but nothing in her life has prepared her for what’s coming. Without giving away the whole book suffice it to say she needs all her social skills to survive and that may not be enough. She needs to get tough and fast.
I’ve read several of Ms. Jacobey’s books and again she makes you care about the characters and has a well-developed plotline. Reading this book was like eating peanuts and it went by too fast. Will Bailey figure out how to survive? What will happen to her brothers? Can she learn to be bad enough to make it through the ordeal? Does she and Caleb fall into each others arms? This book does not answer those questions but it does set the reader up for the next two books in the

Man o Man can you say WTF. This is just book 1 we are in for a crazy, intense, hold on to your device type of ride. LOL
Wow, how to summarize what I read…
To wake up in a hospital, not knowing how you got there, having people talk around you that you don’t know.
After waking up and getting released from the hospital Tori finds herself in a mental institute for recovery while the FBI does what they want. Tori begins to trust one FBI agent who comes to see her often, Eli, they grow a relationship where she trusts him.
She has a meeting with the FBI and tells them her story and gives them information about the people holding her and gives them locations on a map of places she knows of from the crimes she knows of.
FBI decides that they are not going to be completely honest with her and declares her a minor, she knows it’s not true but has no way to prove it. She is put in a halfway house in California for 6 months before being deemed an emancipated minor.
WOW, you need to read the book, there are just some details that can not be described and get the same feelings as when you read them.

Christmas Candy by Samantha Jacobey is a sweet story about second chances and starting over. And I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this story. This story is about single mom Candice Parker who has a son Dakota, who has special needs and she lives with her mother who helps her out but is also a financial burden for Candice. They are really having a rough time making ends meet. Candice works at a gas station one day meets Gary Ford who happens to be a firefighter, and he just happens to come in every day to the station. Gary has been begging Candice to give with a chance even if it just being friends first. But Candice doesn’t have time for relationships or anything. But things go from bad to worse for Candice and her family fast, and he comes to her rescue you got it Gary does. Will Candice learn to trust and give him a chance, and will she learn not to be so distrustful towards people. Samantha Jacobey has given us a story with many ups and downs along with the emotions that go with them. Candice’s life is who rough for someone her age, and well I was reading this story I was wondering how much more this poor woman would be able to come. This story was well written, and the story flowed quite well. I could tell you more about this story, but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this story you won’t be disappointed.

A witch story reimagined. I loved the plot and characters and the pacing was wonderful. I read a fair amount of paranormal literature and found this one fresh and fun. This author has a great command of many genres. I hope there will be a second book to follow. Read it and have fun.

I really enjoyed reading it!
It’s a very thrilling story and I loved how unexpected the ending was. A very well-written novel that I enjoyed reading a lot.
Rider and his father are attending the funeral of someone his father knew a long time ago. He doesn’t understand why his father has brought him here when he didn’t even know these people. Apparently the deceased was someone special to his father and now his father wants to help the family uncover secrets that are better forgotten.
Meri has just lost her mother. She is still in shock and grieving when she meets Rider. Suddenly, two youngsters are thrown together due to unexpected circumstances. It seems that Meri is in danger and for some reason Rider is appointed as her bodyguard. On the run, as they spend time together not only they learn more about their past but also pave a path to their future, a future that neither of them had anticipated.
It’s a fast-paced novel. I liked the flow of it and the characters too. I think that it is a very good start to a promising series. Also, it is a bonus that the book can be read as stand alone.

I hate to say goodbye to these characters!

I loved this whole series! A few questions still remain. How did her mom know how bad it was? What will happen to her brother, the boys in the band, the FBI agents, the leader of the Scorpions, and her best friend? There is so much room here for a second series finishing up the stories which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5! I hope the author will consider it! This could easily be a 20 book series and I’d read every one of them!
