In 1940, still in high school, Henry P. Lawrence joined the Navy Reserves. Little did he know that a year later, in May of 1941, he’d be called to service and deployed to Hawaii. No one believed the Japanese would be aggressive enough to attack a U.S. territory.
Their plan…to cripple the United States military.
The attack on Pearl came hard and fast. I Was Just a Radioman is a collection of the memoirs of ARM Henry P. Lawrence, a WW II Pearl Harbor survivor, Black Cat, and decorated war veteran.

 Dear Margaret,
In a world that had gone bonkers, two friends try to keep each other grounded by writing letters to each other during WWII. Although what happened in their lives was vastly different from each other, they found a common ground, a way to keep each other sane.
From mundane daily chores to life-threatening events, these letters from two pen pals take the reader on a journey into the past, a past where nightmares came true, and when hatred reigned.
A time in history that we should never, ever forget.

Loving Letters.
Dear Margaret is of two teenagers writing back and forth to each other during World War II. I simply was in love with this book. The letters and pictures of these two people’s lives were astounding. I laughed and cried at the recountings of Margaret and Harry. Author Pamela Ackerson put these letters together perfectly for the book. If you Love Dear Margaret. Please read the other book, “I Was Just A Radioman” by Pamela also.
Recommended for anyone to read. Harrowing and sometimes sad in its wartime letters from Harry to its comforting and sometimes humorous letters from Margaret. Thank you, Pam, for letting me read these books. I appreciate all of your books.

A marvelous and fantastic journey, enjoy little-known history crafted with original, brilliant, unforgettable moments, unforgettable characters, and an unforgettable adventure that will keep you shaking your head.
Karen Standing Deer’s daughter, Jennifer, knows exactly what she wants–to fall in love and marry a Native American just like her father and brother. Everyone else is immediately dismissed. Her friends and family keep telling her, the one you want could be right in front of her face.
Unfortunately, like watching a bolt of lightning hit the ground, there’s nothing that can be done about it. She has the uncanny knack of choosing the wrong men, every time.
Traveling to the past, with the belief that her one true love can’t be found this side of the millennium, she refuses to learn that she doesn’t have to go back to the past to find the one–she just needs to go back to the past to find her path.

Cinderella 7
Quite Interesting!

I enjoyed this book as much as the first four. It was filled with letters that I didn’t understand the meaning of, like DD for instance.

Jennifer was a very confused woman. I loved how she went back in time to help others but was disappointed that the story didn’t explain what happened to Jonathan. Did Jen teach him how to treat his future wife? I would have liked to know what happened to him and his family.

Then Jen and Taylor finally get to understand each other and poof … The story ends. I expected much more to the story.

Regardless I loved the story anyway, what there was of it. Are there any more books for the series?

Cinderella 7

Super Fantastic!

My heart bleeds for the Indians! I wish I had lived in the time period when there were peaceful tribes and the white man stayed in their own back yard.

It shames me to be white, although I’m also Irish, German, and a tad of Indian. My husband is part Cherokee, he looks Indian. It is a horrible thing that the white men did, greed, and ignorance along with prejudices and thinking they were better than anyone else is what caused all the hatred and Indian wars.

I love these stories and can hardly wait for the fifth book! Please, Pamela when will it be out? Wonderful job with this series!

Excellent!

A bit confusing with all the different characters and places, but exciting nonetheless. My heart goes out to Matthew and Devery.

I hate that Lydia is under so much suspicion and hope the next book solves the murders as well as sees the young couple finally able to get married.

I miss Karen’s time traveling and wish her husband would go with her. If he’s supposed to be the soul of her first husband, he should want to go with her to the Indians, I just don’t understand why he doesn’t.

I hate that I’m ready to read the last book of the series, I hate to see it end! I love this story very much!

Excellent! Along with the adventure & romance war history

Excellent! Along with the adventure & romance was history. The history of our Native Americans and how they were treated is so very sad. Ms. Ackerson wove the threads of this story into a beautiful tale. I can’t wait to read her next one.
