Super Fantastic!

My heart bleeds for the Indians! I wish I had lived in the time period when there were peaceful tribes, and the white man stayed in their own backyard.

It shames me to be white, although I’m also Irish, German, and a tad of Indian. My husband is part Cherokee, he looks Indian. It is a horrible thing what the white men did, greed, and ignorance along with prejudices and thinking they were better than anyone else is what caused all the hatred and Indian wars.

I love these stories and can hardly wait for the fifth book! Please, Pamela when will it be out? Wonderful job with this series!

Excellent!
By Cinderella 7
A bit confusing with all the different characters and places, but exciting nonetheless. My heart goes out to Matthew and Devery.

I hate that Lydia is under so much suspicion and hope the next book solves the murders as well as sees the young couple finally able to get married.

I miss Karen’s time traveling and wish her husband would go with her. If he’s supposed to be the soul of her first husband, he should want to go with her to the Indians, I just don’t understand why he doesn’t.

I hate that I’m ready to read the last book of the series, I hate to see it end! I love this story very much!

 Absolutely Fantastic!
By Cinderella 7
I loved this story so much! However, it ended way too soon, I wanted to see them reunite and help the people (Indians). Why couldn’t you have made it longer? Authors do this quite often, and it saddens me. But I will read this story over again often, you can count on that. Any who read this wonderful story needs first to read the first book in the Wilderness series. If you don’t, you will miss so very much that will help you understand book 2. Enjoy reading both as I have.
About the author

Born and raised in Newport, RI where history is a way of life, Pamela Ackerson now lives on the Space Coast of Florida, a hop, skip, and jump from Orlando, where imagination and fantasy abounds. Pam started at a young age, creating children’s stories to entertain her younger brother, then carrying those stories on to her own children. With the love of reading romance, she graduated to writing non-fiction, historical fiction, time travel, and children’s preschool/first reader books.

Creative Mix of Historical Fiction and Time TravelDidn’t know if I would like this so I just purchased Book One and really enjoyed the mix of historical fiction and time travel. Now have the next two books loaded on my Kindle and hope they too are as fun to read. Every nation in the world got their power through conquest. Even Native Indians have that history. Pamela Ackerson has put a human face on that struggle in a very creative way that allows the reader to have their feet in both the past and present. Highly recommend!

“Riley Gets Into Predicaments” by Pamela Ackerson – An enjoyable book for children and adults, too!

Pam riley gets into predicaments.jpg#ASMSG, #iartg, #bookboost, #bynr

Children will enjoy reading and hearing about the silly antics of a puppy still learning how to be a good listener. This story is about Riley, a cute, little, rescue puppy who gets into all sorts of predicaments.

“Pleased that I discovered this book” – ”I Was Just a Radioman” by Pamela Ackerson

In 1940, still in high school, Henry P. Lawrence joined the Navy Reserves. Little did he know that a year later, in May of 1941, he’d be called to service and deployed to Hawaii. No one believed the Japanese would be aggressive enough to attack a U.S. territory.
Their plan…to cripple the United States military.
The attack on Pearl came hard and fast. I Was Just a Radioman is a collection of the memoirs of ARM Henry P. Lawrence, a WW II Pearl Harbor survivor, Black Cat, and decorated war veteran.

Pleased that I discovered this book
By Ron Miner
Ron Miner, author of “Sketches of a Black Cat”

It has been my good fortune to have had the pleasure of interviewing quite a number of WWII Black Cats in the last few years, and I dearly wish Henry Lawrence had been one of them. But thanks to his daughter, Pamela Ackerson, Henry’s legacy is preserved for any who are a little curious about those night flying Cats, as well as enthusiasts like myself.

Long before he ever operated a radio on board a PBY painted entirely black, ARM Lawrence endured an experience only a few of us can imagine. In vivid detail, he describes the morning of December 7th as he and his fellow crewman struggled to set up defenses, protect planes, and help wounded on Ford Island as the smoke and fires raged in the harbor surrounding them. His indoctrination into the war was sudden. With their PBYs destroyed, he would now embark on a new and different journey to wide-ranging locations throughout the Pacific theater.

This memoir reads easily and feels like you are sitting in Henry’s own living room as he serves up his experiences in training and combat. In my case, the know-how of this “Just a Radioman” was fascinating, as I had yet to meet one who had flown in a PBY. The extent of his Black Cat adventures in late 1944 was another surprise. They were still extremely active and focused on night search and attack missions. The crew launched themselves into numerous glide bombing and strafing runs with enemy shipping that are methodically described, and they were appropriately decorated for their courageous efforts.

“Loving Letters.” – “Dear Margaret,” by Pamela Ackerson

800px-PBY-5A_VP-52_Black_Cat_Dec_1943.jpg#ASMSG, #iartg, #bookboost, #bynr

 Dear Margaret,
In a world that had gone bonkers, two friends try to keep each other grounded by writing letters to each other during WWII. Although what happened in their lives was vastly different from each other, they found a common ground, a way to keep each other sane.
From mundane daily chores to life-threatening events, these letters from two pen pals take the reader on a journey into the past, a past where nightmares came true, and when hatred reigned.
A time in history that we should never, ever forget.

Loving Letters.

Dear Margaret is of two teenagers writing back and forth to each other during World War II. I simply was in love with this book. The letters and pictures of these two peoples lives were astounding. I laughed and cried at the recountings of Margaret and Harry. Author Pamela Ackerson put these letters together perfectly for the book. If you Love Dear Margaret. Please read the other book, “I Was Just A Radioman” by Pamela also.
recommended for anyone to read. Harrowing and sometimes sad in its wartime letters from Harry to its comforting and sometimes humorous letters from Margaret. Thank you, Pam, for letting me read these books. I appreciate all of your books.
