A bit confusing with all the different characters and places, but exciting nonetheless. My heart goes out to Matthew and Devery.
I hate that Lydia is under so much suspicion and hope the next book solves the murders as well as sees the young couple finally able to get married.
I miss Karen’s time traveling and wish her husband would go with her. If he’s supposed to be the soul of her first husband, he should want to go with her to the Indians, I just don’t understand why he doesn’t.
I hate that I’m ready to read the last book of the series, I hate to see it end! I love this story very much!

In the process of re-decorating, Dr. Karen Anderson purchased an antique bed at an estate sale, The bed was special–it serves as a catalyst for time traveling when she goes to sleep. The time period it travels to in circa 1880. The place is un the middle of Lakota country. The relationship with the Lakota and other tribes is poor, at best, certainly not the best place for a white woman. There, she meets Jumping Bull, a Hunkpapa chief and the father of Sitting Bull. He is injured, and she administers medical care to him. He, in turn, invites her to his village where she meets Standing Bear, a Hunkpapa warrior. Standing Bear knows from the time he lays eyes on her that she is his soul mate. He must convince her, however, that incidentals, like coming from two different centuries and being of different and opposing races, are just inconveniences. Karen fights him tooth and nail, but can continue to resist Standing Bear? Across the Wilderness is Pamela Ackerson’s latest offering that will, as with her other books, satisfy the romance reader regardless of their sub-genre preferences. Kudos to Ms. Ackerson!

Loving Letters.
Dear Margaret is of two teenagers writing back and forth to each other during World War II. I simply was in love with this book. The letters and pictures of these two peoples lives were astounding. I laughed and cried at the recountings of Margaret and Harry. Author Pamela Ackerson put these letters together perfectly for the book. If you Love Dear Margaret. Please read the other book, “I Was Just A Radioman” by Pamela also.
Recommended for anyone to read. Harrowing and sometimes sad in its wartime letters from Harry to its comforting and sometimes humorous letters from Margaret. Thank you, Pam, for letting me read these books. I appreciate all of your books.

This is an amazing series.

This is the fifth in a series of books that involves time travel in a unique way. Jennifer uses a bed her mother received to go back in time. In this story, she is taken back to Florida where both Native Americans and African American’s were getting terrible treatment by America. The author does a great job taking readers on a journey that combines suspense, romance and a bit of history as they follow along on the journey.
