Bussa surprises me with every book he writes! This one was no different, and since I love ghost stories I knew I would love it!
This book deserves more than 5 stars. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. The ending I did not see coming!

I really enjoyed this book. The author has a special gift of grabbing a readers attention with his numerous stories. In this one, Michael Bussa takes readers into the near future where they meet Denise. The woman has been disfigured in a terrible accident and along with the physical injuries, Denise has a lot of mental issues and anger. A promising new treatment may change all of that…or not. Grab this intense thriller and find out. I’m glad I did.

If I had more stars to give, this book would definitely get them.I loved this story. I have read many by this author and have to say this is my favorite. When I read the afterword in the book as the author explained where the story came from, I so wished I had more stars to give. I know that place where this story was found and hope Michael Bussa finds many, many more there. In this well-crafted tale, readers enter the well-crafted, an older woman stuck in the upstairs of a home while she wonders what is happening beneath her. What she thinks and feels is expressed in the letters she is writing to her sister Eula. The author twists this story just right and takes readers on a great ride. The feeling in this book is intense and readers can almost feel reality slip away as they become one with this story. Thanks to Michael Bussa who knows how a short story was made to be written

Great short story by an author that knows the genre

Michael Bussa does an amazing job at writing short stories. I have read several of them and always find the stories roam around in my mind long after the last page is closed. This tale is intriguing, and I found the President, a man who demands loyalty and has a secret agenda, strangely familiar. However, this story takes place in the sixties, not the present, but no matter the timing, a wrong man elected will always happen. The premise of the story is interesting and one I am sure a lot of leaders have thought about. I would have liked this short story to be a bit longer because it feels more like a novel than the author’s usual twisted ending stories, but that said, this is one to grab and savor.
