Invisible – L A Remenicky
Wow, this isn’t my usual genre so I wasn’t expecting such a roller-coaster of emotions, I loved this book! Some great twists and suspense along with a lovely romance, I even shed a few tears at one point … and I don’t cry!
Elaine (Lainey) tries to keep herself hidden from her stepdad. Jackson (Jax) the school’s basketball heartthrob takes an instant shine to the quiet reserved nerdy girl who tries to keep herself to herself and hide under her big glasses and baggy clothes. On the night of their first date everything changes for Elaine, can she now keep herself hidden and safe?
Whilst this is a fairly short read, I still connected well with Lainey and Jax. I’ve only dropped my rating a little as the story is told throughout in dual POV, which I personally found annoying as each time it recapped on the same story. However, this doesn’t really distract from the fact this is a really great read and I’d definitely recommend.

5 Stars for Last Chance Christmas
Another winner from LA Remenicky! I didn’t get into the Christmas spirit at all this year, but as I revisited Fairfield Corners this week, I decided there was no reason not to read a Christmas Story in February, and I am so glad that I made the right call. I am in love with Fairfield Corners – such an idyllic small town setting. Add in some rock stars and hot cops, what isn’t to love?
This quick read stars one of Adam’s bodyguards from his touring days, and the sister of another. (And another totally cool dog as well.) Plenty of drama, and a touch of suspense and an HEA in a beautiful Victorian setting. This could certainly be read as a standalone, but why not read Cassie and Ragan’s stories too? I absolutely adore this author, and hope we will see more books and novellas in the Fairfield Corners series – the town is so well described it could be another character in the series, and I adore it! If the weather could be 70 degrees year round it would probably be exactly where I would want to live.

Gimme more!!!
I really enjoyed getting Brent’s story. Like with all the books in the Fairfield Corner’s books this one, while a quick short read was full of mystery and suspense.
Loved getting to know Jordan and seeing the other characters from previous books.
My thing was I wanted so much more!!! I wanted more Jordan & Brent but I get that it is just a novella which means short story.
I’m very hopeful that we’ll be getting more stories from the Fairfield Corner’s residents.

Fantastic Second Chance Romance!!
I really enjoyed the first book in the Fairfield Corner’s series but Ragan’s Song totally blew me away. This was such a fantastic second chance romance.
Ragan left 3 years earlier with no explanation or goodbye leaving Adam to wonder what it was that drove her away. 3 years later & she is returning to Fairfield Corners for her parents anniversary party with her son, Skylar in tow. The weather takes a turn for the worse & soon she has an encounter with deer and ends up in the river. With no time to settle back into the small-town mentality, her past is thrust upon when her scorned lover Adam comes to their rescue.
Adam can’t believe she’s back and expects some answers. Ragan has a deep dark secret that she knows will have to come to light but she must guard her heart against Adam again in order to keep him safe.
Oh man, the twists & turns in this book. It just came together so beautifully.
Will these two work out their past issues & see what is right in front of them.
Definite must read book!!!

From the outside, Brent Halston and Jordan McKenna had the perfect life: the house, the dog, fulfilling careers, and their love. However, Jordan’s past refused to leave her alone, threatening to destroy all they had built together. Without explanation, Jordan pushed Brent out of her life, leaving him devastated and confused.
In an attempt to start over, Brent relocated to Fairfield Corners, bought an extravagant house, and mourned the loss of his Jojo. To keep herself from drowning in her own grief, Jordan gave everything she had to her career as a doctor, running the free clinic on the rough side of town. As the holiday season approached, a frantic phone call from Jordan’s brother pulled Brent back into Jordan’s life, giving them the opportunity to reconnect.
Battling the past and present, their love must survive secrets and betrayal, giving them one last chance to be together.

Love the chemistry between Dori and Jessie. I love how he protects her and how she helps him with his PTSD. A good read.

I am glad I got to read this one.
Invisible is one story that will stick with me for a long time. I am glad I got to read this one.
In the story, we follow Jackson aka Jax on a journey to protect the one who has always stuck with him in a sense through the years.
Elaine aka Lainie has been in hiding for ten years. When her past catches up to her, she will do anything to get away.
Lainie and Jax are two characters you can easily fall in love with. The journey is one you will want to read.
I loved it and really enjoyed reading it. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
I, Amber McCarty (Imaginative Dreams), was given a copy for an honest review.
