I’m pleasantly surprised how good this was

Eve of Destruction wasn’t my usual genre that I read, but I have to say I was surprised how good this book was. I’ve already purchased the next book in anticipation that I’ll love it as well.

Katica was raised as an Army/ brat, and now after a bad relationship, she’s entered Air Force boot camp. You’ll be given an inside view of how boot camp is but when her TI (Training Instructor) approaches her on a night out with friends Wyatt will tell her of his feeling about her even though she knows it against the rules.

What follows is a sweet love story between them until she arrives at her new base and she’s assaulted in Okinawa by her CO which leads to the loss of their baby. But when there’s an explosion at work that causes her severe injuries. But when she wakes up as a cyborg in a lab with no memories of her past life that will take some major adjustment from being more machine than human. She’ll have to adjust quickly with the help of Dr. Marda who’ll turn her into a lean, mean fighting cyborg soldier that some in her unit are uncomfortable with. When the doctor gives her a chip with her information that hopefully let her find Wyatt again.

I can’t wait to read the next book with more information on if they can both find each other again.

Action Packed Sequel

In the first Soldiers of Destruction book, we received an in-depth character study of Katica’s past with Wyatt Powell, the love of her life and the things that lead up to her becoming Eve Stone, a cyborg super soldier. In this, Knights of Destruction, we move into the present day. This installment is much more action-packed than the first, which focused more on the love story between the leaves. While it is still prevalent here, the major part of the novel explores Katica/Eve’s powers, for want of a better word.

The different sides of Eve/Katica come into play, and I love seeing these different sides of two very different characters in one body, it’s very much a spilled personality thing happening here.

Wyatt Powell is stoic and powerful— an incredible character in himself.

This is an outstanding series, and I look forward to the next installment.

Eve/ Kat reunites with Dragon/ Wyatt.
Secrets are revealed, Lives are remembered and Revenge is served.
There are parts of that may be triggers for some.

AMAZING- LOVED every minute of this book!

Wowzza! What an AMAZING book! I enjoyed reading this book from start to finish. I did not want to put it down. I can not wait to read more from this amazing author. I will recommend this book to anyone, even if it isn’t typically what you would read, I’d say give it a try you’ll be amazed. Can’t say enough! Look forward to many more books!

Katica/Eve finds Wyatt/Dragon back in her life. As her human and cyborg sides war and reunite she also has to deal with evil on a personal and worldwide scale. Can the love they once shared bring them together as they fight injustice and chaos? I love these two characters and how their story unfolds in human and scientific paths twisting and turning. Another page turner! Can’t wait for book 3 in this series!

I loved Eve of Destruction, but this was a fabulous sequel! There was action, intrigue, humor and a hot steamy romance. Wyatt and Kat have found each other, but they must go up against some nasty characters on a mission to save a kidnapped Dr. Marda. I really enjoyed the novel, and I loved Gen who is basically Siri on steroids. If you are looking for a fast paced, edge of your seat read. Knights of Destruction is that book! 5 gold cyborgs

Eve of Destruction” is grab your honey hot, sigh with pleasure sweet, delivers on the action and technology front, and has a solid sci-fi base. This foodie loved the scenes where food was detailed. I could taste that juicy cheeseburger after months of nothing by chow hall food. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!

Hold on for an intense ride.

This book grabbed my attention from the first page and time flew by until I reached the final page (so sad that I have to wait DAYS for the next book). I loved the pace of the writing, the detailed (but not too much detail) military terms and the character development.

I did not read anything about the book, so I was expecting your typical military romance. It was so much more. I love the sci-fi elements and the depth of the experiences of the characters. I am sad that it ended on a cliffhanger so if you hate those, wait to start until the 2nd book comes out on the 31st.

I highly recommend if you are open to reading darker content, but not so much drama to bring you down. It is not for the faint of heart.

 E. Kay Sims USAF (retired) Veteran

Yoga and T’ai Chi instructor.

She is a mother of two children (grown) and grandmother of 2 granddaughters. E. Kay Sims writes Military Romance~Sci-Fi. Her new series is *Soldiers of Destruction. “Eve of Destruction Book One” released in May of 2017. 

E. Kay Sims was born in Naples Italy while her father served in the United States Marines. After high school she worked as a reference librarian on a military post for almost 3 years, hence her love and passion for books. She’s been writing stories and poetry since she was very young. She comes from a long line of veterans so she has a strong sense of duty and patriotism, love of country and God which lead to her desire to serve. She enlisted in the USAF and was stationed at Kadena Air Base Okinawa, where she met the love of her life, a fellow serviceman, John Sims, her husband since 1990. While on active duty she was severely injured and medically retired. Through her passion of helping others, she became a certified yoga instructor teaching yoga for PTSD to Vets. She is also a certified T’ai Chi instructor. She has raised two children and become a grandmother of two. She was once a radio broadcaster/ Program Director and Assistant Station Manager of KYRS 95.3 FM Spokane. Now, semi-retired, she has time to dedicate to writing and publishing as an Indie Author. Her first book “Eve of Destruction Book ONE” of the “Soldiers of Destruction Series” released in May of 2017. “Knights of Destruction Book TWO” will release sometime in Spring 2018
