The plot of the story was like a roller coaster

I thought this novel was outstanding. The plot of the story was like a roller coaster, it went up and down, and you never want it to stop. As I was reading, the characters felt like family, and I cared about every one of them. I would recommend this series, and I can’t wait until part two comes out.

Stranded on Vail Mountain is a well-written, gripping, fast-paced novella. I love short reads, especially those which grab the reader by the seat of the pants from the first line to the last – this one delivers! I’ve read this story twice and will read it again. This was my first read of this author’s works. I look forward to reading much more from her. I don’t write reviews often, but some stories are too good not to share.

Exceptional first book in a series!

I love anything paranormal and this book made it to my Excellent List! I love the way Scott moved the story along which made the book difficult to put down.
You find yourself not only immersed in the story but empathizing with the characters. You feel Vanessa’s pain and loneliness, and Travis’ desire for her.
I highly recommend this book to not only paranormal readers but all readers.

Cozy Romance On The Mountains

This is my 1st time reading anything by Desiree L. Scott and I have to say for novella this for sure made a great impression. This is a very cute cozy romance of the mountains, and I just love the cover. This book truly does pull a lot of emotions all in a short amount of time. It has it all from love to betrayal.
We have Joan and Michael who are making a last-ditch attempt to save their marriage so to speak and let’s just say that doesn’t go as planned at all. Of course, there are two other vital characters in this novella, but since it’s so short you can give it a read yourself ; ) Lots of twists and turns in this cozy romance based in the mountains and LOTS of snow!
Would highly recommend for those wanting a cozy feel-good quick read romance that is pretty clean in itself and loves snow or at least reading about it LOL.
Bonus points for using my favorite word “Indeed” in it!

Trouble ahead
A Must Read! Desiree, you are a very talented writer in the shifter aspect and you bring the heat of passion as well. I enjoyed Bret and Nikki and the trials they go through to be together when only just meeting.
Nikki has suffered enough and has decided to run from her abusive husband but she doesn’t get far. Bret the owner of the bar Nikki runs into and uses the phone saves her and now she is his to protect no matter what. Nikki didn’t know that calling her friend Sam would bring her to Bret for his help. Nikki is no stranger to the shifter community as her friend Sam is one and she grew up around them. So Bret being a bear isn’t gonna shock her but putting them in danger has her frightened that her husband may kill the ones she loves because he already killed her brother for trying to help her.
Nikki is attracted to Bret but scared that she still may get hurt but deep down knows he will protect. Bret will protect Nikki and will make her his. Will these two find a happy ending?
Desiree, this series is great thus far. Shifters are my top read whenever possible. Your writing flows and keeps the reader interested and you write in my favorite style both P.O.V of the main characters. You give us every feeling that the characters go through and the passion behind it, thank you. Until book 3.
