Great Intriguing Winter Read!!

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed this book….first let me say while I don’t like winter, I love a good blizzard if I don’t have to be out in it.

This is the story of Joan and Michael who take a vacation to the mountain resort to get their marriage back on track. Trouble is there are too many outside forces working on that, and when her BFF shows up “coincidentally” the same weekend, Joan is suspicious. She is frustrated and goes for a hike. Things take a turn for the worse, including the weather and Stephen, one of the park rangers is sent out to find her.

Their attraction is mutual once they meet….

They sat side by side, not touching and yet so close. He could feel her body heat, and with the blizzard raging outside and the world cut off and quiet, their closeness felt that much more powerful.

I was totally engaged with the rest of this book, and I’m not sure how to review it since there were so many things I just didn’t see coming and don’t want to give anything away. There are so many emotions I felt reading this, depending on the characters.

This was a great little read, especially in winter, and I loved it!!

Trouble ahead

A Must Read! Desiree, you are a very talented writer in the shifter aspect, and you bring the heat of passion as well. I enjoyed Bret and Nikki and the trials they go through to be together when only just meeting.
Nikki has suffered enough and has decided to run from her abusive husband, but she doesn’t get far. Bret the owner of the bar Nikki runs into and uses the phone saves her, and now she is his to protect no matter what. Nikki didn’t know that calling her friend Sam would bring her to Bret for his help. Nikki is no stranger to the shifter community as her friend Sam is one, and she grew up around them. So Bret being a bear isn’t gonna shock her but putting them in danger has her frightened that her husband may kill the ones she loves because he already killed her brother for trying to help her.
Nikki is attracted to Bret but scared that she still may get hurt but deep down knows he will protect. Bret will protect Nikki and will make her his. Will these two find a happy ending?
Desiree, these series is great thus far. Shifters are my top read whenever possible. Your writing flows and keeps the reader interested, and you write in my favorite style both P.O.V of the main characters. You give us every feeling that the characters go through and the passion behind it, thank you. Until book 3.

Who doesn’t love a paranormal romance series?

The author built us a plot so believable and characters that are easy to relate to. I assure you that it doesn’t matter if we are talking shifters or not, you will be living every part of the plot with them without feeling the plot was forced. That, just by itself, is amazing and a true accomplishment. This story deals with a lot of topics such as romance, betrayal, violence and almost every hardship you can never imagine. Nevertheless, every piece of the novel is put together in such a way that it doesn’t feel exaggerated. I loved how two, unlike characters, found everything they needed to heal in each other.
This book makes you think about everything one must deal with their life. We see faces that we never thought would hurt us but the truth is that there is evil lurking around every corner, but there is also light, hope, and happiness awaiting us. This story is full of self-growth, acceptance, and tolerance when it comes to our hero and heroine and it really touched my heart. I highly recommend this novel to any paranormal romance fan that loves to have some suspense, action, and a lot of drama in the mix.

Nina borrowed her friends car and left the back way to Vail Mountain to her friend Joan. She is followed and a car pushed them off the road into the river down at the bottom of the hill. Nina and her daughter survive but realize who ever pushed her off the road may still be around. Nina contacted Joan and a search party with Rob look for her. The bad guys catch up and her cop friend does too. There is Romance, fear, and mystery.

Cozy Romance On The Mountains

This is my 1st time reading anything by Desiree L. Scott and I have to say for novella this for sure made a great impression. This is a very cute cozy romance of the mountains, and I just love the cover. This book truly does pull a lot of emotions all in a short amount of time. It has it all from love to betrayal.

We have Joan and Michael who are making a last-ditch attempt to save their marriage so to speak and let’s just say that doesn’t go as planned at all. Of course, there are two other vital characters in this novella, but since it’s so short you can give it a read yourself ; ) Lots of twists and turns in this cozy romance based in the mountains and LOTS of snow!

Would highly recommend for those wanting a cozy feel-good quick read romance that is pretty clean in itself and loves snow or at least reading about it LOL.

Bonus points for using my favorite word “Indeed” in it!
