Echo of Heartbreak: A Recipe for Life, by Carol Ann Kauffman, is a heartwarming story of love and devotion a mother has for her unborn child. Knowing she may not live through the pregnancy or childbirth, she is still determined to bring her child into the world. So she begins to leave a legacy in the form of a journal, filled with tips of how to live a good life and adds recipes from her Italian heritage.

This is an extremely enjoyable story filled with emotion and sentiment. It shows, on every page, the love this mom has for her child, no matter what and plans ahead to teach her child about love and devotion. I also like the way the author enveloped the journal entries and the recipes in between the pages of the story, to tug our heartstrings along, every step of the way. (less)

Carol Ann Kauffman is showing a different side of Romance, how many are there of you out there?

This story is completely different from all the other books I have read by Carol Ann Kauffman. You get to see another side of her creative mind and I love it. She had me guessing all through the book. She filled it with mystery, suspense, romance and paranormal. Her style is the same as her other work, maybe even better.
Open doorways can be wonderful and yet confusing to some. But to go through a doorway and wake up not knowing who you are or where you are can be unusual. Sam doesn’t remember parts of her life. Her husband is telling her that she hit her head and has memory loss. But she doesn’t know who he is either. Jaxs is madly in love with his wife and would do anything for her, even switch places with Jackson Blake.
As the two of them resume their life together in Florida, Sam finds herself falling in love with her husband all over again. But is he really her husband? Then one day trouble happens and she is pulled into a cloud with hands all over her. She has no idea what is going on. But she ends up at a castle and remembers her father and everybody there, but how? Jackson ends up there too and wants to take her home. The king is mean and loves to torture people. He goes after a tracker who found Samantha thinking that he killed his real daughter. So how many Samantha’s are there? And is there more than one Jackson Blake?
As the story goes on, you find yourself trying to figure out why there are clones and who made them. Why would someone want more than one person that looks the same? Well, the guardian has his reasons. Can this all be worked out? Or is someone going to die? Will all be disappointed in the end? You will have to read it to find out.

I Love this Series!

Cat Collier is one of my favorite female detectives! In this book, she opens an office in New York to try to expand her business, and prove to herself that she can make it on her own.
Hurt after Carter runs off, as he does when there are problems, she decides to open another office. The building she moves into is run down, and owned by a hermit who lives on the top floor. After getting his okay to update the office she and Spencer, the hermit, start building a loving relationship. I can’t tell you more, you’ll have to read it!
I highly recommend this book!!

Exciting!!

I loved Scott in Sea Witch! He really wanted to get the job working with Laura and got it with a lot of hard work and dedication.
Zara was a mean sea witch who wanted Scott for herself and would stop at nothing to get him.
Sea Witch is the perfect combination of SciFi, Paranormal, and Romance I’ve ever read!
I highly recommend Sea Witch!

This one may have your heart beating wildly! Great series–I love them!!

My review of Belterra, the first book can be found here. I have been eagerly awaiting this sequel!! I am happy to say I loved it as much as I did the first! This can be read as a stand alone–but I highly suggest you read both.

There are problems in Belterra–big ones! The Batrachs have decided to try and take their country back. A forcefield has held them captive in caves for many years. But now they have someone who can help them–who is it?

This one may have your heart beating wildly as the Belterran’s attempt first to fight the Batrachs–then try to make peace with them. There are important people that are kidnapped–can they be saved?

I really think you will enjoy this one–and it does segue into the Time after Time theme towards the end and sets you up for another one of the books! Great series–I love them!!

Through a complicated mix-up, he confuses her with another employee. Madison struggles to hold her feelings in check, knowing that she must soon reveal her true identity. This story presents a realistic portrait of the situations many people face during the holidays. Characters are realistic and well-developed. I was able to empathize with them, feeling both their laughter and pain. Highly entertaining read.
