A very creepy shorter story, excellently written
This is a terribly chilling take on the Old Woman in the Shoe rhyme. Whilst it’s a standalone shorter story, you’re best reading it after the Charming series, and that truly isn’t too great a chore as the books are all excellent. This one, however, is probably not one to read at night!

Loved this book!
What an ending to a great story! While there are a few things about The Prince that I didn’t care for, the book is an absolutely must-read. Emotions run that gamut in this last book about Kit and Eli. From love and loss, to desperation and anguish, to anger and heartbreak. It’s all there. The reader feels it! One of my few suggestions, or criticisms, would be that, while that actual villain didn’t come as a real surprise to me, he should have paid a lot more dearly in the form of some sort of public display! Also, she uses a little bit of language in this one book that is really unnecessary, in my opinion. But neither of these really affects whether or not I would recommend this book or the entire series to anyone!
Lawrencovna’s characters are well developed and personal. I truly love her writing style. All three books are emotional and you really feel for her characters. But this last one was something else. Yes, I did cry…more than once, but it’s a perfect ending to a well written re-imagined telling of Ella and Prince Charming. I’ll be looking forward to reading more from Lawrencovna!

Well Done! Well crafted.
A nicely paced short story that sets a scene in the life of a prince (a ball designed to find him a wife), throws in a little intrigue, some great characterizations, and a bit of action, gets you interested in the wider world this all takes place in, and then it wraps up tidily without the cliffhanger that one might expect from an introduction to a series. All in one short story. Well Done!
…. The First Ball is a well crafted short story that has me seriously considering the rest of Andi Lawrencovna’s books, even though they are out of my normal comfort zone (rocket ships and ray guns). That is an accomplishment. Give this one a read. :>

Captain captivates!
The story gets better and better, the intrigue gets deeper and deeper. Ella and Kit throw sparks with every encounter, through war and strife, yet both remain true to the edicts of their birth. Hurrying on to book three for my happily ever after!

Fantastic story!
I really enjoyed all of the characters and the beautiful way the story unfolded. I love her world-building. The way the story grabs you and drags you into the book! It was great! I look forward to reading more!

This was a very interesting standalone story in the author’s fairytales series and a very strange one! With lots of drama, tension, action, and some romance too, it makes for a great read.
