There was a time before Prince Christophe was born when the worst fate his people had to worry about was war with their troll neighbors or an invasion from elfin forces beyond the woods. But that was before he was born and was cursed.
If he dies, so to do his people.
Such a simple phrase, so oblique, and yet Kit has lived his life in fear of the prophecy, searching every shadow for assassins come to get him.
Until she came and took up arms in his defense.
Warrior and witch. Assassin and priest. She was his teacher and his protector. His friend. The only woman ever to run from him at the end of a ball, and the only woman he ever asked to stay.
But Eli is an outsider in the human world, and trusted only so far, even by the man who desires more from her than her skill with a blade. The longer she remains with him, the more she falls for her prince in a world where her prince’s life is the fate of his lands.
As the time of the prophecy draws near, Eli and Kit will face more than dwarves and shadows to find solace with each other and salvation for their people.
Sometimes the one most suited to protect you is the one who holds the sharpest blade.
And there is no sharper sword than:
The Captain.

Great Second InstallmentThis was a great second installment by Andi Lawrencovna. I was lucky to be able to read both books in this series back to back. The only downside is now I have to wait for the next book.
I loved all the process Kit made in this book and Ella is her normal badass self.
We see Ella and Kit get closer as they are struggling with their feelings for each other. I hope in the next book they stop resisting their feelings for each other and just go for it.
Review copy provided by Reading Alley in exchange for my honest review.

I sat down and looked at my bank account balance on my iPhone. To say it was laughable, was an understatement. I was twenty- four, stupid, and horrible with finances. I didn’t go out spending money like a baller or anything, but I did splurge for the occasional cute purse and stylish pair of shoes.
I was a glutton for a cute pair of shoes.
Damn.
I looked up at my ceiling, and noticed the peeling paint for the first time. The apartment was a mess, and I had enough money for mac and cheese and hotdogs for the next two weeks, and that was it. No extras, just food, but my bills would be paid, and I’d be able to survive another…

9 STORIES ABOUT THE CHARACTERS FROM LONE WOLF AND A FEW NEW FACES! LONE WOLF TALES BY DELLANI OAKES!

AVAILABLE AT AMAZON

Dellani Oakes is a former A.P. English teacher, photo journalist, substitute teacher and Mary Kay consultant. She can give skin care & makeup advice, correct grammar, take pictures and write an article while controlling a classroom full of rowdy children.
Dellani was making up stories before she could read. Her first really cohesive work began when her older sister started school. Left to entertain herself, she invented an imaginary friend and would regale her mother with tales of Snowy Green and Rainbow School. These stories paved the way for songs and poems in elementary school and short stories in high school and college.
A college theatre major, Dellani took play writing. It became her new love. Scripts being dialog heavy and character driven, this aspect has followed her into her novel writing. She uses verbal exchanges & sparring as a way of revealing both plot and…
