Great short story, that will stay with you
For such a short story this is an intense and wonderful story. Remy has lost Calder. Now she is confused and dreading the memory of him, or is it just a memory? This story has a great twisted ending that delves into the supernatural and looks at what could only be called Karma, when Gates, a man who isn’t the nicest of people gets paid back for his shifty dealings. I think the author did a terrific job with this story. Short stories are hard to write and make the few pages feel like a long story, the author has done that and more.

All Carson Reno books are standalone novels. It is not necessary to read them in any order.
Carson has been hired to locate a client’s missing brother, and it quickly gets complicated.
Somehow the missing brother is linked to a gangster who has stolen thousands from the mafia, but that link isn’t clear. Carson’s search doesn’t turn up the brother, but it does turn up a body – the body of a gangster who was on a mission of murder.
It seems that the Memphis Mafia and the Memphis Police are also searching for his client’s brother. Finding him first becomes a real priority.
The pursuit takes him to New Orleans, where a whole new mystery unfolds, which puts Carson in some very serious danger.
Then, if possible, things get worse.
More bodies appear while the Mafia chases their money, and it seems people are not who they claim to be.
This old fashion crime story takes Carson Reno and his crew on a complicated adventure, where it seems the solution may be worse than the problem.
Join our Cast of Characters and come along to help Carson find the clues, search for the truth and try to solve the

A Carson Reno Mystery
Murder and More is a quite intriguing story. The author does well to take the readers back in history. The scenery was very well described, the characters three-dimensional and interesting. The story pops out from the pages and you’re really just watching a movie–that’s how engrossing it was…for me, anyway.
This is the fourteenth installment of the Carson Reno series but is a stand-alone. We get the sense of who Carson is without knowing anything about this novel’s predecessors.
Carson is a very likable man, but I had trouble discerning how old he was. Sometimes he seemed to be in his mid-thirties, while other times he appeared to be much older. Either way, he gets his job done well.
Throughout the novel were various photos that help remind us that it’s set back in time. While I enjoyed the old-time landscaping and sign photos at times, some of the photos were beginning to become a bit of a nuisance, making it more of a picture book.
I did rather enjoy reading Murder and More. It was a quick, easy read, kept me guessing, and I became so engrossed in the storytelling that I managed to finish in one day. I highly recommend the story, whether you’ve followed along with Carson Reno in the past or not.

Will he find her?
Wow! So I received this book as ARC for an honest review. I never heard of Desiree Scott, but after reading Chasing Chelsey I am a fan. This book drew me in from the very first page. The story is about. The girl who is running from her past. She does not let anyone come close, cause when he does they end up missing or dead. She meets the St. CLAIR brothers and they are vowing never to let anyone hurt her. I read this book in 1 day. Could not put it down needed to know what happens next.

Great Read
This was such a surprising read. I was expecting a suspenseful romance but it really was a thrill ride full of unexpected twists. The characters are unique and nothing is as it seems. Even the secondary characters grab your attention. As the story unfolded I truly loved that there were stakes that went so far beyond will they wont fall in love. That said the romance was perfect. There was a bond there that surpassed the natural and really Mark was just the perfect man. I look forward to reading more from this author soon. If you want a romance that is high in suspense yet still manages that sweet romantic feeling this is your book.

Another 5 star read!
I love this book! Barbi Barnard did an amazing job of portraying what it’s like to be a woman in the MC life. Tiffi had just learned her father is, the president of the MC, and trying to have a relationship with him after all these years of not knowing who he was. I can’t wait for Jenni’s book!
