Viv Drewa is a Michigan native who has enjoyed reading and writing since 1963. Though she studied medicinal chemistry at the University of Michigan, her passion has always been writing. She had been awarded third place for her nonfiction short story about her grandfather's escape from Poland. Later, she rewrote this story and was published in the "Polish American Journal" as "From the Pages of Grandfather's Life" and has republished it on Amazon.com as a short story. Viv took creative and journalism courses to help in her transition to fulfill her dream of becoming a writer. She worked as an intern for Port Huron's 'The Times Herald", and also wrote, edited and did the layout or the Blue Water Multiple Sclerosis newsletter "Thumb Prints." Hold on for an intense ride.

This book grabbed my attention from the first page and time flew by until I reached the final page (so sad that I have to wait DAYS for the next book). I loved the pace of the writing, the detailed (but not too much detail) military terms and the character development.

I did not read anything about the book, so I was expecting your typical military romance. It was so much more. I love the sci-fi elements and the depth of the experiences of the characters. I am sad that it ended on a cliffhanger so if you hate those, wait to start until the 2nd book comes out on the 31st.

I highly recommend if you are open to reading darker content, but not so much drama to bring you down. It is not for the faint of heart.

This story picks up where Eve of Destruction ends,
Eve/ Kat reunites with Dragon/ Wyatt.
Secrets are revealed, Lives are remembered and Revenge is served.
There are parts of that may be triggers for some.

Crescent Vendetta is the first book of a very promising paranormal series called Vendetta. I must confess I love this genre but this book is the cherry on the cake. The author built us a plot so believable and characters that are easy to relate to. I assure you that it doesn’t matter if we are talking shifters or not, you will be living every part of the plot with them without feeling the plot was forced. That, just by itself, is amazing and a true accomplishment. This story deals with a lot of topics such as romance, betrayal, violence and almost every hardship you can never imagine. Nevertheless, every piece of the novel is put together in such a way that it doesn’t feel exaggerated. I loved how two, unlike characters, found everything they needed to heal in each other.
This book makes you think about everything one must deal with their life. We see faces that we never thought would hurt us but the truth is that there is evil lurking around every corner but there is also light, hope, and happiness awaiting us. This story is full of self-growth, acceptance, and tolerance when it comes to our hero and heroine and it really touched my heart. I highly recommend this novel to any paranormal romance fan that loves to have some suspense, action, and a lot of drama in the mix 🙂

Outstanding way to spend time together with the ones you love!!

This is an excellent way to spend time with your (grand)children. I’m a fan of the Dragon Dreamer series, but you don’t have to be. Through this coloring book, we have also had conversations about the sea animals or mystical creatures in the pictures. There is always a situation to learn more about the world in which we live. Thank you for these beautifully created art pieces that we can color.

“Fun read. I recommend it.” – “Horse Tales” (Carson Reno Mystery Series, Book 4) by Gerald W. Darnell

All Carson Reno Mystery Series Books are standalone novels. It is not necessary to read them in any particular order.
It was a disaster beyond most people’s comprehension.
There was nothing left standing of the barn, it had burned completely to the ground. Among the rubble and smoking wood, you could see the smoking corpses – which had once been some of the finest thoroughbred stallions in the Tennessee and Kentucky area.
Unnoticed, among these ruins, were the burned remains of Aaron Nunamaker, owner of ‘Nunamaker Stables,’ and one of the best-known horse breeders and stud farm owners in West Tennessee.
Killing a human being brings the wrath of the law and the accompanying sorrow and grief from loved ones. Killing a helpless animal brings wrath that is unequaled to that associated with killing a person. This sorrow and grief continue long after the grief over human loss has left. Mankind will forget their own losses, but they never forget similar betrayals to animals. Odd isn’t it?
The fire had, obviously, been set and was a deliberate murder of innocent animals-horses. Horses that could not free themselves from their comfortable stable, horses that trusted their caregiver and felt safe in their home. Horses that died a terrible death, and horses that would never know how they became involved in such a terrible scheme and plan.
Tracks revealed that many of the doomed horses had been led from another barn to the one that was burned. This made it more than an act of revenge or rage, but one intended to destroy the animals, all at once, and all at one time.
Other than car and horse tracks, the clues were minimal or non-existent. Police roped off the area and considered it an accident or a rival/revenge act until they found the body. Then things changed.
He had been shot once at close range with a high powered rifle. The bullet entered his center chest and exited to some unknown parts of the barn or maybe the surrounding ground. His body was burned beyond normal recognition, like the horses, but his engraved Horseshoe ring, which he always wore proudly on his right-hand ring finger, made preliminary identification possible.

As a native of the real town that is the setting for most of the Carson Reno adventures, I probably get more involved than the casual reader of mysteries. But, aside from being able to actually remember the locations in the book, the stories are logically devised and well written. Carson, as chronicled by Gerald, is fun to follow.

Having read my first Carson Reno novel, ‘Dead End,’ the 13th in this hard-boiled, detective Mystery series, I eagerly selected another—‘Shadows and Lies,’ the 16th standalone book. Drawn to the hallmark ringtones of the Sixties, and the aura of actual places cited by the author, I willingly booked a room at the Peabody Hotel for my reading sojourn.

The prominent Dumont family, proprietors of the prestigious Dumont Hotel chain under the auspices of Matthew Dumont, provide a strong case for Carson Reno to take on via his Drake Detective Agency at the Peabody. For starters, Matthew’s son Brigham’s third wife is missing. The first one died under mysterious circumstances. You’ll find out if the second was murdered by a serial killer or not.

Besides the whodunit, like Reno, you’ll want to know what else is going on—and why!

If all of the tantalizing tidbits of this novel aren’t enough for you—serial killers, a twenty-year-old armed robbery, murders left and right, greed, infidelity, lies, Mob influence, bogus security reports, and false identities— there are all the other hallmark ringtones of the Sixties you become privy to:

Constantly lighting up. Gumshoes wearing suits. Conducting biz inside a lounge or bar knocking back a few beers or Jack Daniels and coke. And, dig these character names: Cheese, Spider Webb, Tucker Baggett, Rags Tobin, and John Dho.

I highly recommend “tunneling” through ‘Shadows and Lies’! However, if Lydia Longstreet can’t get a straight answer from Carson Reno, I doubt any reader will either, as to why Marion Dumont’s pair of pantyhose was under his bed.

I love historical romance novels, and the addition of the paranormal aspect made it even more exciting! I can’t wait to read book two of this series!
The storyline moved along and got more exciting with every page, and I love to hear the descriptions of the women’s clothing, especially Troianne’s wedding dress. This is the time I should have been born! I loved this book and can’t wait to read “Diana’s Magic” soon.

I must say that it turned out to be a great decision.Wow, what an adventure! Admittedly, I’m usually not a big fan of these kinds of books (I tend to stick to the sci-fi and romance genres), but I decided to give “Cross-Ties” a chance and go into the read with an open mind, and I must say that it turned out to be a great decision. I could see early on, within the first few chapters, that the author is truly talented when it comes to weaving words into stories. The prose flows in a very smooth manner while conveying everything in a very vivid way – I personally found it easy to visualize many of the scenes and also empathize and understand the feelings of Leah, the protagonist. I highly recommend ‘Cross-Ties’ to readers looking for a genuinely immersive and adventurous read. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for future releases by Carolyn M. Bowen.

Michelle Rosemount has only been in England for a short time. With a degree in Early Childhood Education, she left the states to start a new life. Working as a photographer for a historical magazine, she loves taking pictures of the manors, castles and ruins.
Michelle has read every book Mr. MacKalvey has written. She feels like she knows him , really knows him. She wants to be with him in every way possible. She deep down loves him. Kenneth heard her voice for the first time and knew that they belonged together and always have and always will. He is drawn to her.
Carol Ann Kauffman puts together the perfect English gentleman meets the beautiful American, but what she doesn’t do is make it sappy. She shows how a true drawl to a connection can be, that opposites do attract. Come on you two, get it together!
The love story of Kenneth and Michelle isn’t much different then most, on again, off again. But theirs has an evil red head to come between them and make matters way worse then expected. This red head relishes in all of it. All she wants is his name, money, house and children. Will she get any of it?
At one point when Michelle is swearing Kenneth off and needs a break from life, she heads to Italy with her best friend and aunt. She is enjoying the beautiful land around her, until there is a man set up for her. She gets very drunk, insults everybody and runs to the olive trees. This man follows and well. lets say they see the olive trees in a different way. This man stays in her life as a very good friend. He helps her start her own business and helps her to forget Kenneth by having her live with him, far away from Kenneth.
Who does Michelle end up with in the end? Well the ending was a huge surprise! I never saw that coming at all. Carol did a good job with subtitle hints along the way that I didn’t see until after I read the ending. Another fantastic story in the Time After Time Series! This series is a must read!

I’ve read two stories so far in this box set:

This one mission for Adelind Chusi (Felicity calls her the Bridezilla!) who is the Serpent Queen and the Groom, Dirk Herensuge who is a Druajen Dragon (he has the ability of reading others thoughts). Felicity doesn’t think they are right for each other, but her mission is to see they get their happy ever after. For the first time Felicity finds the groom very handsome and is unusually attracted to him, but he’s chosen his bride – or has he?
What a wonderfully sweet and romantic story this is. There’s a surprise I didn’t see coming! Loved it and the wonderful characters.
