Viv Drewa is a Michigan native who has enjoyed reading and writing since 1963. Though she studied medicinal chemistry at the University of Michigan, her passion has always been writing. She had been awarded third place for her nonfiction short story about her grandfather's escape from Poland. Later, she rewrote this story and was published in the "Polish American Journal" as "From the Pages of Grandfather's Life" and has republished it on Amazon.com as a short story. Viv took creative and journalism courses to help in her transition to fulfill her dream of becoming a writer. She worked as an intern for Port Huron's 'The Times Herald", and also wrote, edited and did the layout or the Blue Water Multiple Sclerosis newsletter "Thumb Prints." At the Hatchie River bridge (Highway 70/79) Nathan spied a car that had crashed.
A confrontation with the incoherent man didn’t end well.
Beside him lay a briefcase crammed full of $500,000 worth of cash.
Tom Longwood & Frankie Longwood ran an illegal operation (cards, booze, prostitutes) out of the Humboldt Motel (Sunset 4; Capital Loan & Pawn, Memphis mafia).
Joey ‘get outta’ town’ Moretti (Memphis Mafia, former NY Gambino family) would frequent the place.

Sergeant Jordan Helms (TN. Highway Patrol) stopped to talk with Nathan & check out the wreck.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. Wow, a very well written crime mystery book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a huge set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great crime mystery movie, or better yet a mini TV series. 1 you won’t want to put down. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

WOW!!! Not What I Expected!

Not what I expected from a military storyline. Love my military stories, BUT this storyline just blew me away!!! Loved this sci-fi mixed in with present-day events, action-packed, emotional and loving. This is a MUST read. Off now to continue this exciting story with book 2 “Knight of Destruction.”

Action Packed Sequel

In the first Soldiers of Destruction book, we received an in-depth character study of Katica’s past with Wyatt Powell, the love of her life and the things that lead up to her becoming Eve Stone, cyborg super soldier. In this, Knights of Destruction, we move into the present day. This installment is much more action-packed than the first, which focused more on the love story between the leaves. While it is still prevalent here, the major part of the novel explores Katica/Eve’s powers, for want of a better word.
The different sides of Eve/Katica come into play, and I love seeing these different sides of two very different characters in one body, it’s very much a spilled personality thing happening here.
Wyatt Powell is stoic and powerful— an incredible character in himself.
This is an outstanding series, and I look forward to the next installment.

Fast-paced, creative and complex…

Crescent Vendetta is a complex blend of genres: part supernatural, part romance, and packed with suspense. The characters are well-developed and believable, each with a depth that adds to the credibility of the story. Full disclosure: this is not my normal genre to read. I went in a bit skeptical but Scott’s attention to detail and ability to explain the inexplicable, made Crescent Vendetta a wonderful read. The plot is well thought out and the story is filled with tension. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

A pleasant and satisfactory ending …

The story centered around a planet, Belterra, divided into four sectors and separated by job description and class as well as laws that forbid intermarriage and allowed for very little interaction between sectors. It was a story of two soul mates, Neeka and Braedon, trying to maintain a relationship even though they were from different sectors of the planet. I loved both of the characters and their idiosyncrasies and humanity — they often let their egos interfere with their true love, as we all do at times. The ending was satisfactory and resolved to my liking.

Easily a 5 Star Read!

I read… A LOT, and I must say this quiet, seemingly unassuming little tale turned out to be one of the most emotionally engaging stories that I have read in a very long time. I honestly wish that I could give this story more than 5 Stars. A tale about two wounded souls brought together and redeemed through the clan’s Alpha exercising His Prerogative! Samuel is my kind of Alpha Male shifter hero! He’s disliked and feared by his own people, but he doesn’t let that deter him from his ultimate goal; doing what’s best for his band of shifters. And yet, he’s clever enough to find a way to protect the most vulnerable while still getting his heart’s desire. Wild Rose is an amazing character and I adored the way she grew into her role as Den Mother to the clan, healed Samuel and continued to grow as a woman. The growth (individually & and as a couple) that we see in this book was pure joy to read! The connection between Samuel and Rose sizzles! The huge cast of characters are well developed and make the reader want to know more about them. In fact, my only complaint about this story, I’d like to know more about what went before.

Fantastic addition to the Never Land universe

Another great twist on a classic fairy tale. Ms. Lawrencovna is excellent at writing complicated, interesting characters who you learn to love (or love to hate).

Another Amazingly Wonderful Story by Carol Ann Kauffman. Have tissues to read this one!

WOW! What a very powerful Love story! There is a roller coaster of emotions in this story and it will suck your emotions in with it. Have tissues for a lot of it handy. Carol write” I want YOU…..Sometimes with….. You. Alone. Just you and me Richard and Nicole, like we use to be. I miss it. I miss….Us!” I can relate to how Nicole feels here. I feel that same way and have said those words to my husband, my Soul Mate. lately.
Love is Complicated! But for Richard and Nicole, it’s more, it’s electric pulsing through their veins together every time they touch. Richard is in London and Nicole is in New Mexico. They want to spend their lives together, there is a huge age difference and one of them feels like the other deserves more from life. You follow their ups and downs over the years. You see how much and connected they really are. They are always there for each other in time of need. They are upfront to boyfriends/girlfriends, that they are in love and will always go to the other in time of need. There can not be a real relationship with anybody, but themselves.
Their love story is beautiful! Their love story is full of hurt! Their love story is patient, kindness, caring and nurturing. Their love story keeps them apart until one reaches out for the others affection. Their love story is every couple’s dream. Some people have that rare chance to find their Soul Mate and live very happy with them for their adult life. Like me.

Both of them have suffered both physically and emotionally after their time in the army and they are trying their best to cope. This story centers around Joel and the girl he meets, Courtney. Their first couple of encounters don’t go well, but still, there is something between them and Joel is determined to pursue a relationship with Courtney. This book delves into PTSD (which both Joel and Slade suffer from) and the difficulties living with it.

A zombie novel YA readers can sink their teeth into!!!

Author, Ann Logsdon, has truly created a good read in the short novel, Viral Dawn. Although nothing new has been introduced into the zombie mythos, Ms. Logsdon has succeeded in merging just about every traditional zombie aspect that I have encountered, either through literature or film. However, this fact does not take away from the reading experience but instead enhances it. The main character, Casey, is a strong female lead, supported by a well-developed cast of characters. Casey finds herself thrust into a world of flesh-eating zombies that tend to only come out at night. However, there are a few subtle hints in the story that there is simply more to them than that. Perhaps they are evolving? If you wish to know more, I suggest you read the book.

The work is well written and flows at a nice pace, with a few slow parts that seem to coincide with what Casey is experiencing and feeling. I would have liked a little more action in the story, but it is enough to get you through, connected with bouts of drama and intelligent dialogue. For a zombie novel, the blood and gore are kept to a tasteful level, just right.

The end of the story leaves the reader with a heavy cliff hanger, keeping you wanting more. I would most definitely be interested in experiencing more of the world in which Viral Dawn takes place and would recommend this book to the average young adult reader and older audiences.
