I will start by saying that I have read the first book in The Timekeepers series and I thought that this one was much better than the first. The writing got much better in this one. It was easier to follow who was who in this book. The author didn’t switch back and forth between characters first and last names as much in this book, actually rarely at all. It made it much easier to follow.The beginning of this book started out wonderfully. The writing immediately grabbed my attention. I started flying through the first half of the book. I was enjoying the story, the humorous ways the characters teased each other lovingly and the adventure was one that really piqued my interest. It had some funny moments.

I have to say my favoeite quote is “so mote it be”. L. Ann has created a new world in the Land of Enchantment. This world is filled with vampires, shifters, witches and humans. You have world building, romance and giving back all rolled up into one story. Worhout using rhe same term, the theme of making the world better by giving of oneself is prominent and gives real meaning and fewling to it.
I love the Prince and his Lady. The other characters add to the story and do not distract.
I cannot wait for the next story.

I really liked this book and loved the characters, I feel like Margo, Darryl and Justin were real people! I was rooting for them to the very end. My heart broke for them and their childhood struggles. I did not see the twist coming at the end of the book about Darryl’s dad. A book I will think about long after I am done!
