I have to say Mackey’s style and author voice was VERY nicely related through her characters. I could EASILY relate to the MC and storyline. The don’t-know-what-it’s-like-until-she’s-gone plot was indeed INSTINCTUAL Kate was cool to follow. THIS BOOK IS WORTHY OF A FIVE-STAR RATING BECAUSE:::::::it created so many questions in the mind of I, the reader. Is Jake done with Kate? Are they really in love? What is Kate’s father really up to? This kind of question (sprinkling) arousal early on hooked me and set the tone nicely.
